Bob G.'s Bio

Moved to Salt Lake in Aug. 2010 for grad school at the University of Utah and to hit some new parts of the country to explore. Most of my winter is spent skiing at Solitude or in the backcountry. I'm also hoping to get some ice climbing in as well. For the summer you can find me on the rock, mostly trad, or down in the valley training for my next tri.

Familiarity: I've used it several times

After using shimano pedals for a long time I got talked into trying the Mallet out and am loving them. They seem easier to get in and out of, offer a more stable platform for when you're not clipping in, and if you do get whacked in the shin, they aren't slicing you up. I wouldn't want to use them as a platform pedal for any serious downhilling since they don't have any studs to keep you from slipping off but for running errands or any relaxed riding they're perfect.
