Here's what others have to say...

This shirt is sporty yet fairly fashionable, with a unique look to it. Very comfortable and slim-fitting. The material has a slight elasticity. The fabric, stitching and the overall construction appear to be high quality. The nice-looking seams on the sleeves that can be seen in the picture actually protrude outwards a bit. Overall, the collar, the cuffs and all of the other little details give this thing a neat, modern and somewhat-futuristic look. There is a small, round pocket on the right with a zipper enclosure which is not all that visible in the pictures.

I wear this around the house, or if I hop on the bike to go get a coffee or something in the morning but don't feel like wearing the normal race-fit Assos tops that only feel comfortable in the riding position.

The most interesting thing about this shirt is that it smells like the inside of a new car.

With this casual jacket, the style, comfort and materials are all top-notch, like other Assos products. The picture above doesn't do this jacket any justice. It actually looks pretty badass, especially the unique sleeves, the large collar and the very slim fit.

But, there is one weird thing. There is too much material on the front of the jacket, on both sides. When zipped up, a massive "tent" appears, which protrudes straight out for several inches, right in the middle, just underneath one's sternum. The only thing you can do is move it around, but it won't go away unless the jacket is unzipped. This is very strange and looks really awful.

I returned the jacket mainly because of that. Also, some better zippers (like the usual shiny metal ones on other Assos tops) would've made the jacket look nicer. But seriously, if Assos addressed both of these things, I would buy this jacket in a heartbeat.

I wear either these or my Assos intermediate socks when riding in intermediate/cold conditions. They fit nicely and are good quality. I have no complaints about these socks at all. They have done their job on many fall and early winter rides. Compared with the intermediate socks, these are much thicker all over and are constructed differently. If it gets into the mid-30s or below, I usually wear my fugu socks. I have always worn these while wearing my fugu shoe covers.

Continuing about the functionality: This jacket, like other Assos tops, only feels right when in the riding position... otherwise, there is tension in the chest area. For being so form-fitting, it's amazing how much warmth this thing retains while still having the ability to put a layer underneath.

One of the most excellent features of this jacket is the unique balaclava/liner. The pictures on this website don't it, but zipper on the front of the balaclava goes all the way down to your abdomen... it acts as a zipper for the inner liner of the jacket as well! You can choose how far you want to zip up the liner and if you want, you can zip it all the way up to use the balaclava. When you're not going quite fast enough and your glasses start to fog, just pull the front of the balaclava down to your chin and then simply pull it back up when the wind begins to chill your face again. In extremely frigid temperatures I will actually wear my fuguCap on top of the balaclava, but into the 20s either works fine by itself. I tried to include a picture of the balaclava/liner in my low-quality selfie below.

In conclusion, this is, in my opinion, the best bicycling jacket ever. It looks cool no matter how you decide to wear it. I feel like I should strutting down the runway in this thing. If you are in good shape and you like flaunting your looks as much as you like performance, functionality and quality, then this jacket is for you.

Unparalleled, badass, glamtastic, bitchin' excellence.

The Fugu Jacket is one of my best purchases ever and it is worth every penny. Not only is it of the highest quality construction and materials, but it also looks incredibly & uniquely fashionable. Only Assos would put bling all over their jacket in the form of flashy Assos-logo zipper pulls. Only Assos would design a striped collar like this.

This jacket can be an outfit for any of the following: rock star, pop star or any type of musician, alien space invader, flashy post-apocalyptic motorcycle gang, evil movie villain, halloween costume and even a christmas outfit.

As far as quality and materials are concerned, this jacket is top-notch. Careful attention has been paid every little teeny tiny detail. The cuffs are incredibly warm and comfortable. The pack pouch is excellent. I don't put anything in the side pockets because they make my sides look fat from the front if there is anything inside of them... I just love them, in sheer superficiality, because of their flashy metal zipper pulls. The collar is incredible... the "stripes" are three-dimensional (the black ones form think ridges) and are composed of some sort of really thick, rigid wind-blocking material.

As far as functionality in concerned, this jacket amazes me. I have worn this in all types of winter weather, even in single-digit wind chills (in which case I wear my early fall base layer underneath). I wonder what temperature will actually cause this jacket to be ineffective. I go on night rides all the time in freezing temperatures and when I sprint up steep hills, I always have to unzip the front to allow heat to escape. When hammering along the flats and charging downhill in frigid winter weather, even in strong gusty winds, nothing penetrates this jacket... especially the ridiculous, thick collar!

(I will have to continue this review, since I am about to reach the maximum number of characters..)

This is the only floor pump I have ever purchased, so I don't have anything to which I can compare it. I've been using it for about 5 months now. It's not difficult to screw onto an air valve. If anything, unscrewing is only slightly annoying, since the metal rotating parts seem to touch a little. But these are just very minor, almost nonexistent quirks in a product that looks very nice while successfully pumping air into my tires.

I bought this Gore base layer specifically because I think the black version looks cool. I have worn this underneath my Assos Uno top when the temperatures started slightly dropping in the early fall and I have also worn it underneath my Assos Tiburu jacket for some extra warmth in slightly-colder intermediate conditions.

I ordered this Gore top in size small as well, hoping it would be nice and tight like my Assos garments. It is very tight. My only concern is the overall quality of the materials and stitching on this top. It appears to be fairly well-made, but the stitching could be better, especially around the cuffs, where a few threads have come loose. This top is very tight, while not being quiiiite elastic enough to facilitate with removal after your ride is finished. Sometimes when I put it on or take it off, I will feel a tiny thread snap somewhere. So, I try to be gentle with it... and so far, so good.

This is really similar to the Early Fall Interactive top and I don't want to simply repeat most of what I said about that thing. This isn't quite as warm as the Early Fall, but has the same fit, quality, feel, etc. Very tight, while being comfortable and feeling fluid. Feels right when in the riding position, like other Assos tops.

I occasionally wear this top underneath my Tiburu and Fugu jackets just to have the comfort of a base layer between my skin and the jacket, without causing it to get too warm inside the jacket. And of course, this thing looks quite nice for being a simple t-shirt base layer.

For just being a base layer, this thing really rocks. The materials, construction and overall quality are top-notch, like other Assos garments. It looks really nice and is incredibly tight without being uncomfortable! But, keep in mind that this thing only feels right when you are in the riding position, like other Assos tops.

I wear this under my Tiburu intermediate jacket when it is not cold enough for the winter jacket, but a little too cold for the intermediate jacket alone. In extremely frigid weather, I wear this underneath my Fugu Jacket and receive amazing protection against single-digit wind chills!

This helmet looks great, is lightweight and has excellent ventilation. When I started bicycling, I bought a Specialized helmet, which was pretty good... but when I switched to this Giro helmet, the extra ventilation was immediately noticeable. It feels great.

In the winter, this thing fits over a cap or a balaclava pretty easily and comfortably. In really extreme temperatures, when I have both my balaclava pulled over my head AND a cap on, I have to loosen the locking adjustment all the way to get the helmet on my head, then I can tighten it from there. I have done many miles with this setup.

My only concern is with the locking adjustment thing in the back. It seems rather fragile. My friend has an older version of this helmet and this thing broke. So, I've decided to just handle my helmet carefully.

The only thing I don't like about this helmet is the chin strap. I find it to be annoying and slightly uncomfortable. The buckle sits off to one side and bulges out awkwardly. The strap itself is almost more of a neck strap, sitting right above my Adam's apple. But, I am always very focused on my ride and manage to not really notice it.

This thing attaches to my helmet very nicely and is very lightweight. The light is pretty bright, but I wish it lit up the sides of the road a little better. (My friend has a light with two beams in front and I am guessing that is why his light illuminates the sides of the road better than mine.) On medium power, this light still produces adequate lighting, but I try to use high power when I can, keeping in mind the stated run times. I carry the battery in one of my back pouches... it is very lightweight and I don't even notice it's there (I even ordered a spare and carry that as well... for longer rides and as a safety precaution).

For me, this light was a good introduction to night riding. I have been going on night rides all the time, since the sun sets so early in the winter months. Eventually, I will buy a light with two beams and more power. But, if I wasn't incredibly enthusiastic about riding at night, I would probably stick with this.

*** Be sure to charge the battery before using this for the first time! I found out about that the hard way... luckily I wasn't riding alone.

This is one of the best things I've ever purchased. In my opinion, there is nothing better for rides in intermediate temperatures. This thing looks so good... it's so aggressive and so unique! It is made of the best materials, fits amazingly well, is soft, comfortable and very, very warm! Another masterpiece of styling, functionality and overall quality by Assos.

This jersey is very form-fitting, yet still manages to feel fluid, light and soft, all while providing exceptional warmth in intermediate temperatures. You can even fit one of the Assos base layers underneath it, for those fall days that are pretty cold, but not quite cold enough for the full winter jacket. Most of my rides are between 50-70 miles and I ride very hard. This has exceeded my expectations every time when the temperatures were in the 40s and 50s. I look forward to cooler temperatures just so I can wear this. Like other Assos tops, the area around the chest feels tight unless you are in the riding position.

I recommend this to people who have good proportions, like to look totally badass and unique, like riding fast, are not snobs, but still prefer to spend money on high-quality garments and take good care of them.

The only little thing I can nitpick is that the back of the jacket is white, even on the red version.

This headband is fantastic! I actually use it on runs, not rides. I normally wear this when the temperatures are in the 30s. For runs in the 20s and even the upper teens, I will still use this, since it is very very warm and comfortable. I don't think my head is all that big, but I ordered mine in size II, since my fugucap and stinger cap are also in that size. This thing is pretty "tall" I guess you could say... it covers a really good portion of your head... and looks really great while doing so! You can also fold it in half if you want, or in half just in the front (I did that the other night while running during a snowstorm with wind chills in the negative digits!) If I used this on a ride, it would probably be in some unusual situation in some sort of tricky intermediate weather.

This thing is very effective. I haven't been able to use this as much as my other Assos products, because only very specific conditions have resulted in it being used. I have used it on rides where I was wearing my intermediate jacket in windy conditions. It kept my neck and face very warm on those occasions.... I would pull it up or down as necessary. Very comfortable and high quality. I like the extra material that goes down slightly over the upper chest. Like the fuguCap and Stinger Cap, this is made from fairly thin material, yet surprisingly warm!

Despite the somewhat-small size of the 300ml bottle (the 1L bottle appears to be currently on backorder), it doesn't take much of this stuff to create considerable suds and do a good job cleaning your athletic garments. I love taking good care of all of my Assos investments so that they will last as long as possible... so I don't mind always hand-washing everything. I use this on my Brooks running garments as well. Although, I don't think this stuff is as skin-friendly as is claimed. My hands felt a bit dry after washing with this stuff the first time, so now I always use latex gloves when I do my hand-washing.

My bathroom sink is pretty small, so I will pour a small amount of this stuff (maybe around 1 tsp or so) into my sink... this is enough to clean some shorts and a jersey.

I tried rubbing this stuff into spots of tar and grime, but it doesn't seem to be too effective. For those types of jobs, I still use dish detergent.

Most of the time, I layer these underneath other Assos gloves when the temperatures drop to increase the warmth even further. Sometimes, I wear these for intermediate rides where it's not quite cold enough for my Early Winter Gloves, but not quite warm enough to go without gloves. They are very comfortable, good quality and fit nicely.

These are also my running gloves when the temperature is in the 30s!

These gloves grip nicely and fit comfortably, but do not keep my hands as warm as I would expect from something out of the Assos Fugu series that costs about $150. I have worn these over my Assos insulator gloves on many rides in temperatures in the mid-20s to mid-30s, day and night. I always ride very hard. After about 20 miles or so my fingers usually start going numb, so I have to constantly flex them to keep the blood flowing and reduce the numbness. In the upper 30's, they seem to work alright on 50 to 60-mile rides when worn over my insulator gloves. Also, the zipper on the side of each glove is pretty much useless... it doesn't really loosen the glove for inserting your hand, nor does it tighten it significantly after your hands are inside. Inserting/removing your hand is pretty much the same, whether zipped or unzipped.

Also, I noticed that unlike all of the other Assos products I own, these gloves are not made in Europe... they are made in China. But this may not have anything to do with their lack of warmth. The material and construction does appear to be pretty good, so it could just be poor design... but that would be very strange coming from Assos.

The Assos Early Winter Gloves may actually be almost as warm as these... and they look way, way cooler. And by cooler I mean glamtastic. I am NOT talking about the ones currently being sold by Competitive Cyclist with the stripes down the middle two fingers! These are different and they can be obtained at the Assos factory outlet. They are made in Italy and do their job very well... I usually wear them on intermediate-temperature rides, either alone or with my insulator gloves underneath.

Good booties
4 5

First, these things look fabulously unique. The pictures don't really show this, but the little coverings on the front poke up into little points so it looks like you are wearing glamorous elf boots.

*** BUT.... these were definitely designed for road shoes, NOT mountain. I ride road, but unlike most people I don't wear road shoes, since I like to be able to walk like a normal person when I'm off my bike. The holes on the bottom of these booties interfere with my clips and make clipping into and out of my pedals slightly awkward. Also, it helps to not do too much walking in these... the fabric on the bottom of mine is starting to get worn a little. ***

Other than that, these shoe covers keep my feet very warm. I have been wearing these with the fuguSocks (and the toe covers, for good measure) for the past couple of months during very cold temperatures, usually in the 30s. I frequently go on night rides in the mid-20s to mid-30's, for usually around 50 miles and I always ride hard. My toes will feel only slightly cold towards the end of these rides.

Concerning the price: These are the only shoe covers I have ever used, so I don't have anything to which I can compare them. I've been pretty satisfied with their performance, but I don't know if there is anything that is better out there (or better and cheaper). BUT... these are the only things that look like glamorous elf shoes.

I like wearing these socks in the fall and early winter. They are comfortable, good quality and keep my feet warm. Depending on the temperature, I will sometimes wear these with the fuguBooties. In the 50s and 60s, these socks are fine by themselves, but if it's in the 40s I will combine them with the booties. I just don't really like the stripe on the front.

I don't think these socks looks that great. I bought them because I figured they'd be very warm, since Assos tends to have the highest-quality, most functional garments as well. These socks are very warm and comfortable. The stripes down the front don't really do it for me... they make me think of being some sort of hoofed creature. But then again, it is a cloven hoof, so maybe these socks have earthly, demonic powers. I've warn these (with the fuguBooties, I must add) when the temperatures were in the teens, but only for around 40-50 miles... my toes were only just starting to get a little cold towards the end of the ride.
