Andy Rice's Bio

I moved out here to ski after college at the University of Colorado and have since stayed. Having the Wasatch 30 minutes or less away from my house in downtown Salt Lake is awesome. In the summers I like to hit up Millcreek canyon or the Shoreline trail behind the U and in the Winters I stick to Little Cottonwood.

I just completed my Master's in Fine Arts at the U and maintain an active studio practice. I love having the Wasatch as my playground when I need to clear my head and spark some creativity. You can check out my website at www.andrewriceart.com

Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I love these tabs! After trying a variety of different powders and tabs for electrolyte replenishment, the Nuun have come away the clear winner in my book. The flavor is not overpowering AND there is none of that particulate residue left over from what didn't get dissolved in the water. The Energy give a pretty good little boost and the Active hydrate me up really well. Great after or during a workout and especially great after a night drinking ;)

Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I gave these as a gift to a friend for letting me crash at her spot for a while. I asked for some feedback after a couple of months and she was overall very pleased. Super comfortable out of the box and still feel great after a couple months of regular use. The tread is super soft and 'luggy' making for a great mud and soft ground shoe, but not that great for dry, rocky terrain, which she finds herself on frequently. If you do most of your trail running in a drier or desert climate, I'd suggest another option, like the XA Pro 3D from Salomon- http://www.backcountry.com/salomon-xa-pro-3d-trail-running-shoe-womens?rr=t

These gummies are the best! Provide energy and sustenance on the trail without being somewhat messy like a gel can be, and not dry like a cookie, or bar can be. Not only do they work as good, if not better than advertised, they are delicious as well. Get a couple cases in different flavors to keep around and throw in your pack, glove box, jacket pocket, etc.
