T2 Wing Base Bar

The modern answer in base bars, even when fabricated out of aluminum, is to flatten the section between the center and the horns into a wing shape. This is what Profile Design has done with their T2 Wing Base Bar. The 6061 aluminum wing offers two benefits. One is minimizing the profile of the bar that has to face the wind. The second is a shape that is easy to rest your hands on when riding between the horns and the extensions. The wing is easy to rest your palms on.

The ends of the horns are designed for plug-style bar-end brake levers. There are cut-outs in the side so you can thread through the bar and then out the back. Likewise, there are also cut-outs for older clamp-style brake levers where you have to run the cable externally. Either way, you can run your cables inside the wing for better aerodynamics.

The T2 Wing is compliant with the latest UCI base bar regulations; it fits within the 3:1 ratio they currently mandate.

The T2 comes with a 31.8mm diameter center section. There is no drop to the bars. They remain on the same plane as the center section; good for those who don't like to get too low when riding the horns of their base bars. There is 157mm of reach. The Profile Design T2 Wing Base Bar comes in three widths, 40, 42, 44cm all measured center-to-center. The color is anodized matte Black.
