T2+ Clip-On TT Bar

For years, the ski-bend aero bar was everything. Luckily, people weren't satisfied. Eventually, some guys cut off the ends of their ski-bend bars and tried a straight bar in a wind tunnel. Aero, when parallel or nearly parallel to the ground, yes; the resulting position is more like a bullet. It worked for some, but for most it was too low. The Profile Design T2+ Clip-On Time Trial Bar is their solution; it's a subtle S bend. Your hands are still low and "aggressive," but the difference in height between your armrests and the end of the extensions is minimized for greater comfort.

The big difference between using an L bend and an S bend is that the S bend, ironically, is more like how skiers hold their poles when fully tucked; your wrist is bent and your hands are tilted down.

The 335mm S bend extensions are made of 6061 aluminum and are mated to the same clamps and hardware found with the T1 aero bars. The handlebar clamps, made from forged 6061 aluminum, tighten to the bars separately from the extensions, and these clamps are separate from the armrests, so you can first determine the width you're comfortable riding with, then set the length of the extensions, then adjust the armrests. Since the armrest clamp is round clamping on a round tube, you can adjust the cant of the armrests, which can offer both some height adjustment as well as allow you the opportunity to have the armrests tilted inward or outward. For those who like a narrow position, having the armrests tilted upward toward the stem could give you a secure feeling. Those who like a wide position can lower the armrests and tilt them outward so it is easier to come out of the armrests. The armrest clamps, known as J2 Brackets can also be moved fore and aft on the extensions themselves.

J2 brackets allow the user to set the F-19 armrests at two different widths and three fore-aft positions as well as adjust the angle of the rests. People who prefer a wider position often like to rotate the rests so they're cradling and guiding their forearm in the direction of the extension. Included with the F-19 armrests are 12mm spacers so people can raise the height of the armrests

The pads on the armrests attach via Velcro. This allows the user easy access to the two bolts that hold each armrest to their respective bracket. It also means the pads can be removed for hand or machine washing.

The Profile Design T2+ Clip-On Time Trial Bar extensions can accept bar end shifters; remove the end plug and insert the shifters. There are cut-outs in the bar for partial internal cable routing. The extensions themselves are 335mm long end to end. The range of adjustment is 110mm. The handlebar clamps are designed to fit 31.8mm diameter center-section handlebars and come with shims so that the clamps can be used with 26.0mm diameter handlebars. The color is anodized matte Black.
