In a normal world, most people would take a shower and go home after T1. However, this is where the real racing begins in a triathlon. And over the next leg of unsupported tarmac, it's crucial to stay as hydrated as possible. For this reason, Profile Design created the RMC Carbon Fiber Rear Mount with Kage.
Profile Design's RMC mounts to the rear portion of your saddle rails, enabling you to carry two extra bottles at the rear of your bike. Even better, with the RMC's carbon fiber construction, you're able to achieve this at a low overall weight -- around 120 grams without the cages. You'll also find that the RMC takes on a slight airfoil shape, which creates a positive trailing edge for your bike. Accordingly, the RMC's aerodynamic impact is nearly negligible.
For the water bottle cages, Profile employed two of its venerable Kage bottle holders. These are constructed from nylon-injected fiberglass, which keeps their individual weight to around 52 grams. Additionally, tabs at the top and bottom of the Kage secure bottle placement, while a thin band runs the grooved circumference of the Kage's top portion. This band allows the Kage to securely expand when loaded with an oversized bottle.
The Profile Design RMC Carbon Fiber Rear Mount with Kage is available in the color Black and in one size. Please note that this mount is only compatible with standard 7mm saddle rails, and that the RMC does not include bottles.
