All of this is made possible by Assos' usage of seven panels throughout the tights for a precise, anatomic fit around the legs and over the knees. Now, we know that bib-less tights don't have the best reputation for comfort. Too often, the waistband sits too tight, causing discomfort in the abdominal region while you ride. To combat this all to familiar problem, Assos has created a waistband that eliminates the need for elastic. This makes it sit taller in the abdominal and hip area to prevent pressure on your stomach. With a better fitting waistband, you won't be fighting for comfort on longer rides.

The hL.607_S5 uses improved versions of the legendary Assos RX and RXQ fabrics, with panels of each in places that make the most sense for warmth retention, breathability, and moisture transfer.The newly improved RX fabric retains the same comfortable warm and soft inner side but with a more robust outer layer. Should you hit the deck during your ride, the panels of tenacious RX will protect you from road rash a la Johnny Hoogerland. RXQ is used in the seat panel and in areas that require better air flow. With a new 3D air channels, the RXQ fabric has improved thermal properties and breathability. This low-volume fabric has a fleece-like inner-layer with 3D air channels that create a micro layer of air close to your body.

The FI.Mille_S5 insert is Assos' best chamois for everyday riding. It utilizes its patented and pioneered Elastic Interface Technology for comfort over long distances. Designed to follow the body in motion, the FI.Mille_S5 uses a variable density throughout the chamois to support the regions that need the most support, without impacting the ones that don't. The support focus is primarily placed at the perineal, ischial, and gluteal areas -- the points most prone to distress from saddle pressure and compression. With its anatomic design,the FI.Mille creates an abrasion-free support that promotes an increased circulation by protecting nerves like the pudendal. Further along these lines, FI.Mille's waffle texture also works to dissipate any buildup of heat. Even more impressive, the insert is road-specific.
