Here's a shocker: the Thomson X4 Onepointfive stem is both stronger and lighter than their Elite stem. We don't understand how that happened either, but we consider it the standard for all other 1.5" stems to live up to. The X4 sports a beefy 31.8mm handlebar clamp, and they machined away all the unnecessary metal in the steerer clamp area. While it meant losing the knee-saving cam on the Elite, the pinch-bolt clamp design is pretty minimal. Available only in anodized black with a 90(zero) degree rise and 45mm length. 169g
