Everyone knows that a rear derailleur does a fair job of tensioning the chain, but it won't do the job on rough courses if you've stripped your cyclocross bike of the front derailleur and inner ring. Save yourself the worry of dropped chains with a K-Edge Cross Single Chain Catcher.

The Cross Chain Catcher is made of two lightweight CNC machined components -- a tidy clamp for the seat tube, and a triangular guide plate that mounts on the clamp. The guide plate has a slotted stem with 12mm of lateral adjustability that can accommodate any brand of drivetrain along with some variation of the chainline. The Cross Single is specifically designed to be used with one chainring and differs from the double ring version by the inclusion of a tab on the top of the guide plate that extends over the top of the chain to prevent it from bouncing up and off of the chainring as you ride across harsh, bumpy terrain. The K-Edge will absolutely prevent the chain from falling off to the inside of the ring and gouging the finish on your sweet new 'cross bike.

K-Edge builds the Cross Single Chain Catcher with 6061 T6 aluminum so it's super sturdy even though it's quite light. The clamp is anodized Black and the guide plate is Gunmetal. It is available in two clamp diameters -- 31.8mm and 34.9mm.
