None of us want to end up with raw paws during riding season, and luckily, Giro's gone the extra mile with its full-finger Xen Gloves. When the Xen gloves are gripped to your mountain bike, you'll enjoy not only protection, but also effective ventilation and unrestricted movement, too.
In terms of protection, Giro made use of sonic-welded armor to cover the knuckles, upper fingers, and the top outside portion of the hand. But, instead of feeling like you're wearing hand braces, Giro has interspersed these protective elements with moisture-wicking, breathable mesh. Even on hot days, the Xen gloves will leave your hands feeling airy and dry.
The knuckles have articulated flex zones, while silicone grip has been added at the fingertips. This results in both unrestricted movement and a positive engagement with the levers for instant shifts and braking. However, the biggest contributor to the Xen's comfort and dexterity is its three-piece, Super Fit Clarino palm. This ensures that the Xen will expertly follow your palm's natural contour. So, there's no bunching at the grips, where blood flow and trail feedback are essential.
For long-ride comfort, the Xen uses a 2mm Techno Gel pad to evenly distribute pressure. This provides added comfort and durability without the drawbacks of feedback-filtering padding. Completing the Xen gloves are a micro-fiber wiping surface, sonic welded pull tab, and a low-profile hook-and-loop closure with a sonic welded pull tab.
The Giro Xen Gloves are available in four sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors White/black/red, Lead White, Army Green, and Black.
