The new Fit Sensor Bib Shorts were designed to provide you with the ultimate combination of support and all-day riding comfort using its new fabric blends. The bibs represent Garneau's 30 years in the apparel-making business, incorporating the same designs and fabrics used to outfit the world's best cyclists. Garneau continues this legacy with the Fit Sensor, as they were built with its signature fabrics and attention to detail.

Starting with the construction, Garneau made the bulk of the bib shorts using 13 panels of its new Fit Sensor fabric. This material relies on a double-construction knit that maximizes the specific properties of each fiber used in its composition. In other words, a smooth nylon was applied to the front of the fabric, which works to resist abrasion and add to the bibs' overall durability. On the back of this nylon material, Garneau mated a brushed polyester that works to efficiently transfer moisture to the quick-drying nylon layer as well as aid in thermo-regulation. For compressive support, Lycra was integrated throughout, providing an elastic hold on your muscle groups to support and shield them from the bulk of oscillation and road vibration. This results in a decrease in overall muscle fatigue, while also improving blood circulation.

The secure fit of the Fit Sensor bib shorts was accomplished through the use of compressive fabric panels and Garneau's Powerband leg cuffs. These not only provide a strong, no-slip hold on the legs, but they also reduce pressure on the lower legs in order to maintain proper circulation. Garneau further achieved its body-holding characteristics by constructing the bib straps from Power Mesh, with an added stretch trim that ensures flexibility. These straps hold the position of the shorts, and also aid in pulling perspiration away from the back and torso with their moisture wicking composition.

Garneau included its AirZone insert into the Pilot LE bib shorts. This chamois uses a 3D, pre-shaped wing design that moves in unison with your body. After all, a non-conforming insert is one of the leading causes of abrasion. So, to guarantee flexibility, the AirZone chamois uses a variable-density, perforated memory foam that's been shaped objectively towards every direction of movement and pressure. And unlike other forms of variable-density padding, the AirZone shape ensures that height transitions flow smoothly from region to region. This means that pinching and chafing are nearly eliminated. Garneau also included a center channel, much like your favorite saddles, that relieves pressure on the urethra and pudendal nerve.
