Made with Gore's WindStopper Soft Shell fabric, the Power SO tights have 100% windproof panels throughout the legs to fight the cold. Not only does it offer a four-layer level of protection, WindStopper Soft Shell is also highly stretchable and won't effect you natural movements in the saddle. And along with keeping cold winds away from your legs, WindStopper keeps the rain and snow from finding their way in when you're riding through a storm. These two characteristics alone will provide warmth, but going even further, WindStopper insulates your legs for a consistent level of warmth. This is achievable through its high breathability. While your aerobic threshold rises, excess warmth and moisture is released to the surface. Now, you'll be riding warm and dry from the inside out.

However, Gore knows that comfortable, warm fabrics are all for naught if the fit isn't astounding. With this in mind Gore uses a wide waistband that sits comfortably around your torso. To adapt the cut to the movements of cycling, Gore articulated the knees of the tights. This eliminates abrasion behind the knees while you're hammering in the saddle. Even further along these lines, flatlock seams have been incorporated to eliminate chafing where seams commonly rub. And to secure the position of the tights in while you're riding, Gore has placed ankle zippers and elastic grippers at the cuffs.

Gore has included its Power Man seat insert to ensure that you'll be able to sit comfortably for hours in the cold. Gore calls this insert its workhorse, and it's used for these tights because your off-season rides consist of long, hard base miles. It has an anatomical fit with strategic elasticity and ventilation. Breathability is essential, as the majority of abrasion is fueled by humidity-induced friction. With this in mind, the outer fabric (the next-to-skin-stuff) of the Power Man insert is made from a hyper moisture absorbing fabric.

For storage, a single zippered pocket on the back of the tights holds your ID and cash for your post ride espresso. And for a heightened visibility in low-light conditions, Gore placed reflective accents throughout the tights.
