Just about everyone needs a simple long sleeve jersey in their gear closet: something that on its own is warmer than a summer jersey and heavy base layer, but not so warm as you'd be reluctant to pull it out until you're going for windproof booties. The Fusion Jersey from Giordana is that maillot. It feels like a warm sweater, a bit more than a cardigan, compared your short sleeve jersey; you might use it as a warmup or cooldown top at races. The top is designed to fit a bit on the loose side. This is great for layering underneath and easy on and off. Besides, not everyone likes to have the sausage-casing feel when it's cold out.
Full zipper, simple block colors, contrasting side panels, three pockets. It's all good. The zipper has a secondary pull built into it that makes for an easy grab with full-finger gloves. Most of the panels utilize Giordana's Techno fabric, an unnecessarily bland name for a lofty, wicking microfiber that traps heat and moves moisture from the inside of the jersey to the outside. There are two panels by the shoulder blades in back made of MicroQuad, also a brushed, wicking fabric, but one that is lighter and has better stretch. Its placement helps your arms move without pulling the jersey.
The Giordana Fusion Long Sleeve Jersey comes with three back pockets. The pockets are finished with reflective piping for safety. The Giordana logo is on the center pocket, and the Giordana name is on the side panels and left breast. The front and back logos are reflective, even the ones that appear black in daylight. The wrist cuffs have logo piping and there's elastic at the hem.
