POC VPD 2.0 Spine Pack 16 $0.00
POC has created two different spine protection packs --Both include a removable VPD spine protector, and both are hydration-compatible. The difference between the two is size. The VPD 2.0 Spine Pack 16 is the smaller of the two, at 16 liters.
Generally speaking, there are two types of body armor: soft, flexible armor that's designed to be comfortable, and hard-shell armor that's designed to absorb huge impacts. As logic would dictate, the soft stuff doesn't protect as well and the hard stuff isn't as comfortable. Well, now there's a third kind of armor–Poc VPD. As far as we can tell, it's magic. VPD is a soft, flexible foam material that conforms to the contours of your body. However, in the event of an impact, it hardens instantly to provide the protection of a hard shell. It truly is the best of both worlds. Not only that, but VPD is a true multi-impact armor, so the protection level during your 20th crash is the same as it was during your first. This is especially important because a fall can often involve several impacts. You don't want your protection level to drop off over the course of a fall, because that last hit might be the hardest.
VPD is lightweight, soft, and flexible, and it's some of the most comfortable armor that we've tried. Another reason that VPD is so comfortable is efficient airflow. Poc riddles its VPD material with vents so air flows freely in and out to keep your skin dry and cool, so you don't roast in the heat of the summer and get that nasty, clammy feeling under your pads.
The 16 liter backpack is built with all-mountain or freeriders in mind. The helmet pouch fits a full-face. The pack is fully hydration-compatible. A heavy duty elastic waistband keeps things stable while keeping it comfortable. Organization is made easy with a waist band pocket, a padded pocket for your phone or MP3 player, and low-profile elastic mesh pockets. the sturdy, ergonomically shaped shoulder straps are fully adjustable to allow you to dial in a custom fit, and the heat-molded back panel is covered in a mud-shedding top fabric.
The Poc VPD 2.0 Spine Pack 16 comes in one size. It's available in Uranium Black.

Hi there, I am interested in purchasing one of the POC VPD 2.0 packs, and was looking at both the 15l and 16l, they look drastically different in size in the pictures, oddly enough with the 15 being much larger. I am wondering if there is actually any difference to them other then size? I want a relatively minimalistic size bag, which the picture of the 16 seems to display, however, logically the 15 should be smaller. Thanks in advance for any insight!
Great Pack- so far so good

I bought this pack for downhill mountain biking and it has been great so far. Great fit, the protection is still flexible enough that i do not feel motion is impaired. The hydration pack compatibility is great helped a lot when riding porcupine rim in moab. Still tons of room for my tire pump, spare tubes, and snacks

Will a 3L Camelback Bladder WORK with the POC VPD 2.0 Spine Pack 16?
I believe POC works specifically with Hydrapak and built their hydration sleeve to fit their 2L and 3L models. Camelbaks models are actually a little larger in than their models but should fit in this pac. now keep in mind that if you do go with the 3L you will have less room for everything else.
I actually out of curiosity just tried to stick my 3L camelbak bladder in my Poc, it did fit. But as Wayne said it did take up more room so you must account for the lack of space for other things in the pack
