Item # POC000Q

Lightweight protection.

For all the beauty of POC's downhill gloves, some of us find ourselves preferring something a bit lighter, more flexible, and with a more sensitive feel for the bar. The Index Flow Gloves are lightweight and feature knuckle protection not found in other similar gloves.

The Index Flow Gloves have soft pads on the second and third knuckles of the two outer fingers of each hand, which makes them more flexible in general and movement in the fingers is a bit more independent. The back of the hand is composed of a breathable nylon mesh. The palm uses a synthetic suede, but it's textured for a positive grip in all conditions. The gloves are secured in place thanks to a full wraparound Airprene cuff and a soft Velcro strap. And while it's built for the extreme set, it's still light and dexterous enough for XC applications that require a little something extra. The Index flow is even touchscreen-compatible.

The POC Index Flow Gloves come in Sulfur pink, Uranium black, and Krypton blue. They're available in sizes XS through XXL.

Great protective glove but hot

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Size Bought: Medium

I have to wonder what other kind of glove that folks are using in these reviews that they think are warmer than these. These gloves are not too heavy, but for the weight they are very warm. The upper fabric is pretty tough and does not breath well. This is noticeable. The lowers are beefy and padded (not too many like that these days). That said, for the warmer days I'd go for the Index Air, or the 100% Celium (my choice). However, for days when the temps are 70s or less, I like the protection these give. I both appreciate the palm padding and the knuckle padding. Recently in Park City, my right hand made good contact with a tree at speed (damn those pesky wide bars). The pinky and ring knuckles were OK. It tweaked my shoulder and I didn't even notice till later. If it weren't for the padding in the knuckle I'm sure I would have been even more hurt. That said, I have two seasons on the gloves and they're wearing very well.

Great Lightweight Glove

These are my go to gloves for hot weather downhill mountain biking. They are light, flexible, and have great grip. For days I am going a bit more crazy I wear my gloves with a bit more protection, but otherwise these are great overall! I have average sized hands for a woman in the palm, but very long fingers so I went up to a medium and the size is great.

These are my favorite gloves by far!

Just bought another pair because they fit my hands perfectly,. They also have enough protection and padding without being bulky, breathe pretty well, and have held up admirably through a number of unplanned dismounts. They're a bit pricey, but worth it.

Great for warm days

Don't get me wrong, this is a great glove and I love the fit + breath-ability... but for the price here you're better off grabbing some Fox and getting a bit more protection.

Great gloves

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

Just ordered a second pair. Tight fit, great details and they aren't too hot. Color is more of a dark navy blue. Also - these are definitely not in any way Women's sized. So order up while the price is good, gentlemen!
