Lightweight protection.

For all the brawny beauty of POC's downhill gloves, some of us find ourselves preferring something a bit lighter, more flexible, and with a more sensitive feel for the bar. This could be why we're bullish on the POC Index Flow Gloves. They're just that bit more normal than the DH versions so we reach for them, not on occasion, but all the time as part of our normal kit. What they offer is some knuckle protection not found in other gloves and a lightweight comfortable fit.

POC really delivers with the Index Flow. These gloves have soft pads on the second and third knuckles of the two outer fingers of each hand, which makes them more flexible in general and movement in the fingers is a bit more independent. The back of the hand is composed of a breathable nylon mesh. The palm uses a synthetic suede, but it's textured for a positive grip in all conditions. The gloves are secured in place thanks to a full wraparound Airprene cuff and a soft Velcro strap. And while it's built for the extreme set, it's still light and dexterous enough for XC applications that require a little something extra. The Index flow is even touchscreen-compatible, so you can answer important work calls during your ride (not recommended).

The POC Index Flow Gloves come in Bohrium Red and Uranium Black. They're available in sizes XS through XXL.

Fits like a glove

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Have used for several rides this fall. They really do feel great in terms of shape for my hand - no funny extra material pockets from weird shaped fingers or thumb area. My hands run from large to extra large in gloves these days - 9' around the fat par of my palm - 3' long index finger. The large seemed just a smidgen too small at first, but I used them and they now fit perfectly! Nice terry nose wipe area. Material feels good and lets air through nicely. The palm leather transmits feelings nicely but still seems durable. I found I like the elastic cuff. Would give 5 stars but have not used long enough yet to see how long they last.

Awesome awesome gloves.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Super comfy gloves, and they have a good bit of protection and seem really strong. They fit well and you can't feel any seams. The palm seems very durable and like it can take anything my normal rides can throw at them, whether that be long climbs or runs at the bike park.

Great lightweight glove

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Having just gotten back into mountain biking, mainly riding single track, these gloves are lightweight and breathe well. Having not taken any serious diggers yet, I can't speak to the small bit of padding on the gloves, but they seem like they would help slightly. Probably not the best choice for downhill, but for all other types of riding it is a great glove. The grippy material on the fingers has held up well and is great for switching gears and braking. Continuously impressed with the level of quality provided by POC.
