Description

Insert bad pun about riding in the flow…

For all the brawny beauty of POC's downhill gloves, some of us find ourselves preferring something a bit lighter, more flexible, and with a more sensitive feel for the bar. This could be why we're bullish on the POC Index Flow Gloves. They're just that bit more normal than the DH versions so we reach for them, not on occasion, but all the time as part of our normal kit. What they offer is some knuckle protection not found in other gloves and a lightweight comfortable fit.

POC really delivers with the Index Flow. These freeride gloves have a conforming two-part knuckle-shield on each hand, which makes them more flexible in general and movement in the fingers is a bit more independent. The outside two major knuckles have a hard shell polymer shield, the inner two knuckles have an EVA soft foam shield. The back of the hand is composed of Pittards leather and a breathable nylon mesh. The palm also uses Pittards leather, but it's textured for a positive grip in all conditions. The gloves are secured in place thanks to a full wraparound Airprene cuff and a soft Velcro strap. And while it's built for the extreme set, it's still light and dexterous enough for XC applications that require a little something extra.

The POC Index Flow Gloves come in Black and White/Orange. They're available in Small, Medium, Large, and X-Large sizes.

nice glove

but the Large was too small on me. don't trust the sizing chart.

So far, so.. great.

I'd been using a pair of half-finger, heavily-padded gloves from Bell for maybe 10 years. Just got a new bike and decided I could upgrade a few other things as well. I used the sizing chart, ordered a Medium in "sand". They were very snug when I first tried them on, but as another reviewer mentioned, they broke in nicely. For a full fingered glove, I'm extremely impressed with how breathable the mesh is over the top of my hand. Especially if my index and middle finger are over the brake lever, air comes through very easily, cools you down. You wouldn't think this to be the case by looking at it. The dexterity is excellent, you can easily use tools and make adjustments to the bike without removing the gloves. The padding is just about perfect. There's a large rigid pad to protect your pinky and ring finger knuckles. It took a little while for me to not notice it while riding, sometimes I can feel its edges against my hand, but it's no issue. As others have mentioned, the workmanship and the materials used are exceptional. Very happy with the purchase. There are many cheaper gloves to buy, but.. they're cheap. You get what you pay for and this is an excellent glove.

Glove-happy

Got the first pair - returned - too big. Got the second pair.Pretty good fit - a little tight but they will stretch enough (BTW - I'm anal when it comes to glove fit). Excellent materials and superb craftsmanship - should last (barring any yard-sale-type events on my part!). This is my first POC product, and judging by the gloves, I will be buying more of there stuff. Let me not forget the H n R returns dept. Excellent service - quick and kept me finformed.

Great Fit

I have fairly large hands and until now, it has been difficult to find a glove that fits just right. however, these gloves are a perfect fit. i normally wear an XXL in other manufacturers products and am left with slightly loose fitting gloves. I wear an XL in these gloves. I would highly recommend.

Exceptional Gloves

The glove's material selection is second to none. The construction is really good. They have just the right amount of protection without being heavy or cumbersome. They wear very well. I have a full season on these and they still look pretty good. I just throw them in the wash and hang dry.

poc flow glove (M)

excellent construction and protection.
even though it runs on a slightly smaller side than similar products - fox, specialized, dainese, still very comfortable for its intended purpose.
