You don't need a bike like this; you want a bike like this. The Pivot Point will entice you into hucking yourself over double jumps and off gaps -- the more airtime, the better. Before you know it, you'll be on the neighbor's trampoline practicing your tailwhips. Pivot builds the Point because they know about that empty hook on the garage wall and your secret, obsessive desire to enjoy the flow of a good dirt jump park or pumptrack.

It's made of double butted chromoly steel in order to be ultra stout without being an absolute pig. It's going to feel heavy compared to a Mach 5.7 Carbon, but you'll appreciate its durability when you crash it into an iron handrail or boost it 20 feet into the air when you blow a high speed manual through the rhythm section at your local flow trails. While it's a simple bike, there are a few notable details. Pivot gives it a tapered, integrated headtube so you can run a tapered fork with a stiffer crown. This will be a nice bonus for hard landings and slamming through deep berms at high speed. On the other end, you'll have the option to change the rear dropouts to suit your style or application. The Point can accommodate two different versions -- standard vertical for use with a thru-bolt and gears and horizontal for single speed.

The geometry on the Pivot Point has all the aspects of a fast, fun trail ripper. The long, low top tube and low-slung bottom bracket make it feel fast and stable, with plenty of room for knees and elbows. It only comes in one size - Medium/large. That said, the sizing is spot on for medium to large dudes. The sub 16" chainstays make manuals easy, well… easier. Because of it you won't yank your elbows out of socket to get the front end off the ground. And if you run a single chainring with gears in the back, the ISCG 05 tabs will allow you to solidly mount a chainguide to keep everything in check. You'll need a 1-1/8" to 1.5 tapered integrated headset and a 27.2mm seat post.

US Pivot dealers are prohibited from shipping Pivot bicycles outside of the United States and US territories.
