Pearl Izumi Thermal Skull Cap $0.00
Winter riding can be pleasant with the right gear, like the Pearl Izumi Thermal Skull Cap. Slim enough to fit under a helmet, the Thermal Skull Cap features Pearl Izumi's new fabric manufacturing technique that greatly enhances it's P.R.O. Thermal fleece's porousness and surface area — Minerale.
This is perfect for quickly spreading perspiration throughout the cap and efficiently evaporating it. You'll enjoy not only added warmth, but enhanced moisture management. The Pearl Izumi Thermal Skull Cap comes in one size and in Black.

great cap for coldish weather
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I like this cap for under the helmet riding, road or mountain. But, if the temps get down into the 30s, this cap just doesnt cut it. For that, you have to go thicker.
great head cover for cold rides
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I'm not a big fan of PI traditionally, but this skull cap is great. quality construction with nice stretch fabric, perfect thickness (or should i say "thinness") to wear under the helmet. sale price makes it a no brainer. great deal.
Pearl Izumi USA (based near Boulder, Colorado) designs GREAT cold-weather gear - including shoe covers, arm & leg warmers, gloves, and cycling jackets.
Application: Thermal cap for use in temperatures between 40-55*
Pros: Typical Pearl Izumi high-quality. Great fabrics. Great QC. The material is thin (but effective), so this fits well under your helmet. And this cap covers your ears, thus keeping cold wind and air out of your ears while you ride!
Fit? In my experience this "one size" Thermal Cap best fits a rider with a smaller to ave size head. I'm 5'10" and of medium head size (about 58-59cm). This thermal cap stretches and fits great (and covers my ears), but does fit a bit snug. If you are a tall/large male and need a larger size thermal cap, try the one made by De Marchi. It is excellent (though slightly more expensive).
