Don't let frozen fingers ruin your ride.

Committed riders know that the end of summer is the start of the most enjoyable riding season of the year, at least if you're well prepared. With shorter days come cooler temperatures, and the Pearl Izumi Thermal Women's Gloves provide plenty of warmth for those days, without being stifling like a 'true' winter glove. Why suffer through rides in the shoulder seasons when you're able to be toasty and comfortable instead?

These gloves employ Pearl Izumi's P.R.O. fabric, but with an added twist. Pearl included Minerale™ as an additive, which was chosen to improve the heat retention of the gloves. So, your digits stay warmer for longer. As with other iterations of the P.R.O. fabric, it's a polyester/spandex blend, which pairs controlled stretch with excellent breathability. Basically, this material transports moisture away from your hands to the surface of the fabric. From there, it quickly evaporates. The upshot is that your hands stay dry, which is essential for keeping them warm when the mercury is low.

Pearl built these gloves with a contoured cut that's built specifically for a woman's hand. In other words, they're pre-curved to accommodate the shape that your hand makes while grabbing the handlebars. And the result is that bunching is kept to a minimum, replaced instead with a snug, close-to-skin fit. Additionally, you'll find reflective accents, which boost your visibility to motorists when the light gets low. Also, Clarino™ synthetic leather has been employed in high-wear areas of the palm in order to provide longevity.

The Pearl Izumi Thermal Conductive Women's Gloves are available in the sizes Small, Medium, and Large and in the colors Black and Screaming Yellow.

Here's what others have to say...

Perfect for me!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

These provided me with wind and water protection during the winter months. They don't add much bulk and allowed me to easily maneuver brakes and shifters. I would definitely buy these again!

Warm but not padded

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

Bought these for mountain biking in the outskirts of seattle during the winter. They are very warm, but after more than 8 miles my hand started to get sore, something I haven't really had an issue with. These gloves at not really padded or meant for long duration gripping . None the less, my hands are warm in weather in the 30's. They are not water proof though, just FYI

Size UP!

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

Size chart is inaccurate. My hand is 7.5". The chart says I should be a M; I wear a medium glove in other brands but this medium wouldn't even go over my knuckles. That being said, it does appear well made. I hope to amend this review with more thorough information after trying a large.
