Description

It’s the bee’s knees.

The Pearl Izumi Men’s Thermafleece Knee Warmer essentially converts shorts into knickers, or increases knee protection when worn with tights. Thermafleece sucks moisture away from your skin so it can be easily evaporated, and it also keeps you warm as you ride or run through biting wind and cold. A tunneled elastic ring at the top comfortably holds this Pearl Izumi piece in place.

Pearl Izumi ThermaFleece Knee Warmer

These are my favorite knee warmers. Some will squeeze you too tight at the top of the leg and chaff, but PI seems to have figured out how to make these stay put without any discomfort. Also, they come in white and are thus acceptable to flahutes such as myself.

Grippers slip

There is no rubber material no the upper gripper so they slip down. Your milage may vary – for example if you have larger thighs or tighters short worn over.

Pearl Izumi ThermaFleece Knee Warmer

The first time I wore these was in a Duathlon race (run bike run) in Feb. They didn't stay up very well on the first run, were awesome on the bike and stayed up on the 2nd run (swollen watt producers I guess). Since then I have used them on several spring rides and they have been great. Never slipping and keeping my knees toasty. I am thinking of getting a few more pairs.

Needs grippers on the thigh

Good produce, but the tops slip down on me, especially if I wear them over another set of tights. Gripper material on the top would solve this I think.

Not as good as the old ones...

These replace the old Pearl knee warmers. The older ones fit perfect, snug all along the leg. These don't stretch like the old ones and as a result slide down your leg or bag up while riding. The old ones didn't have all the stitching on them. These look great but the old ones function much better.

Nice but check size

Top of the line quality. Highly recommend however true USA sizing. So a large is truly a large. Quite big consider I have to order XL or XXL everything from Castelli. These are very sweet and warm and soft...what's not to like

Can't be beat.

These are very warm they fit in your jersey pocket, great on epic rides that start early and end in the warkmer afternoon.

Sizing is consistant with all Pearl Izumi products, that is why I am comfortable buy them online.

Here is a sizing chart; measure you leg for the perfect fit.

Sizing Chart
XS = 14.25(length), 19.5(thigh), 13.25(calf)
S= 15.25(length), 21.25(thigh), 14(calf)
M= 16.25(length), 23(thigh), 14.75(calf)
L = 17.25(length), 24.75(thigh), 15.5(calf)
XL = 18.25(length), 26.5(thigh), 16.5(calf)

PI knee and arm warmers seem to do more than just keep you warm.

I've only used these a couple times so far. I was a little skeptical about these staying in place during a vigorous ride, but I didn't experience any slipping. I wear large shorts and jersey and the large size of these knee warmers and arm warmers fit great. The additional benefit besides keeping you warm is they seem to keep joint pain and swelling down. I usually get a little sore in the knees and elbows after 30mi or so, but these kept my joints comfy for the whole ride (I guess due to compression). It was an unexpected benefit!

what size would a girl who normally wears medium order for something like this?

Responded on

The medium. Order these in the same size you would order your bibs/shorts/tights.

For knee warmers, follow the link and click "size and fit". You can also look under miscellaneous for arm warmers and do the same.

quickly became a favorite

I bought these on a recommend from a friend, and had never used knee warmers before. These have exceeded all my expectations for a piece of gear. With 3 knee surgeries under my belt, keeping the knees warm is crucial on chilly days, and these do the job very well. I use them hiking as well as biking, and have been very happy with them.

Warm n' cudly

These are some of the most comfortable knee warmers I have ever donned. Material is thick and warm. The new leg grippers hold well without feeling like they are attempting to tear your skin off. Order these in the same size you would order your bibs/shorts/tights.

Nice

This product does the job, it keeps you warm on cold weather rides, and seems to fit just right.
