Selected for comfort.

From running shoes to swim goggles, the cost of triathlon gear quickly adds up. Thankfully, though, Pearl Izumi's Select Tri Shorts make your dollars count without compromising an ounce of comfort or support.

Consisting of six precision-shaped panels of Pearl's Select Transfer fabric, these shorts' next-to-skin fit holds the muscles in place while permitting a full range of motion. Unlike cycling shorts, Pearl Izumi cut the Tri Shorts' panels so that they won't hinder a stride or kick. Amazingly, though, they still support efficient pedaling. This is because the shape works in conjunction with Select Transfers natural elasticity.

Comprised of a nylon and elastane blend, Pearl Izumi engineered the Select Transfer fabric to dry quickly. This encourages more comfort during the transition from water to land. But, just as importantly, it also pulls and evaporates perspiration in order to help reduce irritation. Another essential feature that keeps the shorts from chafing is Izumi's TRI quick-dry fleece chamois.

This chamois is designed for cycling comfort, but just as much consideration has gone into how it will perform during the other stages of your race. It's shape is less obtrusive than a typical cycling insert, and it's also been made more flexible for the run and the swim. So, you're able to reap the rewards of support in the saddle, without compromising comfort in your other two disciplines.

The Pearl Izumi Select Tri Shorts are available in the color Black and in five sizes from Small to XX-Large.

  • Select Transfer fabric
  • TRI quick-dry fleece chamois
  • Single back pocket
  • Silicone leg gripper
  • 50+ UPF sun protection
