Very Waterproof. Baggy

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I haven't had water penetrate through yet. The material is on par or better than my E-Vent jacket. I've used them for playing in the snow with the kids. They fall more on the mountain bike and commuting side of the bike gear spectrum. They are very durable and I haven't needed to retreat them to keep them waterproof. The ankle closure works great.

Very functional... but a little sticky.

Bottom line: these pants work well, but are a bit uncomfortable if you're wearing shorts underneath... because the interior feels like vinyl. Decent as a vanity coverup if you're hitting the bar right after a ride and don't want to sit there in your tightys.

-- Reinforced seat.
-- Zippers at the ankles.
-- Cinching velcro at the ankles
-- No idea what they mean by thigh vents
-- No pockets at all.
-- Reflectors in all the right places.
-- Decent styling (good enough for walking around.)
-- Waist is simple elastic with a weak drawstring
-- Pant material isn't incredibly durable
-- They do stay out of the chain pretty well.

I bought these with the idea that I'd wear them over shorts for MTB rides. They ain't comfortable enough for that. But what they DO work for is as an extra layer--over long tights--when it's getting really cold out and as rain pants for camping. Tolerable over shorts, pretty solid over long johns.

Is there any kind of pocket on these?

There are no pockets of any kind on these. Not even one of those sneaky key/card pockets you find in swimsuits.

I'm 6'0 and 205lbs, athletic build, with a size 33 waist and a 32" inseam. What size would you recommend?

Responded on

That's a tough one. These have an elastic waist and a tiny little drawstring, so I'd focus on the waist. For length, the large lists 32.5 and the M is listed at 32... so long enough but just so. I think I'd recommend the medium for you... they should be long enough but also shouldn't fall off your skinny waist.

I hope that helps!

Extremely Awesome!

Waterproof, windproof, breathable pant! I have been a year round commuter for years; this is my new rain, snow, and cold weather pant. Super comfy, quiet fabric with some killer element protection properties.
