A high-octane jersey for your long rides.

The Italian-made Pearl Izumi Men’s P.R.O. Octane Cycling Jersey conforms to your body as if it were a second skin and works hard to wick perspiration so you stay dry and cool during long, difficult rides. Antimicrobial side and underarm panels help to fight odor-causing bacteria, and a venting back panel allows you to dump heat. A silicone gripper hem holds this shirt in place, and the UPF-50 fabric ensures your shoulders don’t turn lobster red after a day on the road.

loose middle

Overall I love this jersey. It instantly became the favorite in my rotation. It's super light, wicks sweat and mostly provides the form fit as advertised. My one beef: the waist is too loose. There is an elastic band with silicone grippers, but it isn't tight enough to hold it in place. As I usually carry stuff in the pockets, it feels like it's sagging when I stand up. Not a huge deal, but it detracts from what would otherwise be a perfect jersey. (For reference, I'm 5-11, about 160 with a 32 inch waist and wear a medium.)

Octane Jersey - Men's

When they say "Insanely Anatomical" they mean it! I'm not the smallest or thinnest guy in the world and order the X-Large. If I could have gotten a 2XL I should have, but it is not offered. These jersey's fit very much like the Assos SS.13 $399 jersey. Definitely order one size larger than normal you'll be happier.

With that said, the jersey display excellent workmanship and is very stretchy. I realize that I'll have to drop a few of those pounds before wearing this jersey religiously. It feels really skin tight, but easy enough to get into and adjust the arm sleeves and such. Definitely great competition for Assos S.13 and really looks killer with the matching bibs. It is extremely light and well ventilated... you don't even realize you wearing a Jersey!

Octane Jersey - Men's
Responded on

Like Tom above, I love this jersey with the exception of a too-loose waistline. I am 6'1", 185, 32 inch waist, 41-42 chest. The large fit me like body paint. Had to size up to XL to fit my chest and shoulders, which was perfect. Unfortunately, the result is a saggy back pocket and loose waist. Through the years I have found PI's sizing highly inconsistent from model to model. They seemed to have upsized a bit lately versus the XLs I was buying years ago.
