Green Commmemorative Jersey

Green means speed in the world's most recognizable stage race. And as tradition goes, the green jersey, also known as the 'sprinter's jersey,' is awarded to the sprints leader during the race around France each summer. The same principle applies during the USA Pro Cycling Challenge, which is why jersey sponsor Pearl Izumi designed a Green Commemorative Jersey that's now available to the public. It's built from Pearl Izumi's most proven fabric technology, and its signature semi-form fit was designed to cover you in classic Pearl Izumi styling.

Pearl Izumi constructed the Green Commemorative Jersey out of its lightweight Select Transfer fabric. This fabric is known for its exceptional moisture management, which works by pulling sweat from your skin to the quick-drying outer surface of the fabric. This results in you staying dry, cool, and fresh throughout your longest rides. This fabric earned its reputation of setting the standard for moisture management fabrics, largely because it is the foundation for all the breathable, wicking fabrics used in much more expensive Pearl Izumi jerseys. So you can feel confident knowing that you are getting great technology at a much lower price point. In addition to its quick-drying capabilities, Select Transfer is also incredibly light in weight, which means that it breathes much better than standard Lycra blends.

The engineered-elasticity in the jersey's fabric panels allows the Commemorative to follow your movements in the saddle, meaning that the fit will be free from any bunching, pinching, or chafing while in the cycling position. Pearl Izumi calls this its 'semi-form fit,' which is cut to closely follow the contours of your body, but isn't quite as race-oriented as some of its other skintight jerseys. Additionally, Pearl Izumi knew that you'd be wearing the Commemorative Jersey in a variety of conditions, which is why it built the jersey using 'layer-friendly' flatlock stitching throughout. Combined with the anatomic cut and elastic Select Transfer fabric, the smooth stitching further reduces any friction at the seams.

To secure this fit, and to prevent the jersey from shifting while riding, Pearl Izumi placed an elasticized gripper along the drop-tail hem. This also prevents the jersey from sagging when its three rear cargo pockets are loaded with your riding essentials. You'll also find a 12-inch zipper up front, which makes ventilating the jersey a breeze, as well as reflective elements that increase your visibility to motorists in low-light riding conditions.
