In order for a Tri Suit to be effective, it needs to move with you and adapt to each distinct discipline. However, swimming, cycling, and running, when isolated, require specific features and technologies that keep you comfortable and protected. Pearl Izumi, with a wealth of material and construction expertise, expertly balances those factors in the Elite In-R-Cool Tri Suit for maximum efficiency and comfort.

The body panels used to construct the Elite-R-Cool Tri Suit are made from Pearl Izumi's ELITE Transfer In-R-Cool fabric. This is a lightweight and super elastic material that incorporates what is known as Coldblack technology. If you're unfamiliar, this is a finishing treatment that reduces the absorption of heat rays in darker fabrics.

The reflective properties work to reduce surface temperatures on the fabric up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in direct sunlight, while providing a UPF 50 level of protection. The benefits of incorporating this fabric include an increased level of body temperature regulation through moisture management. By effectively moving moisture from the skin to the material's surface, where it quickly evaporates, your body stays dry and cool throughout the duration of your two ground legs.

In terms of fit, the pairing of Pearl Izumi's ELITE Transfer In-R-Cool material with its ELITE Transfer Aero fabric allows the stretch needed for next-to-skin comfort. And in addition to the temperature regulating characteristics found in the In-R-Cool material, this fabric also incorporates Lycra Sport for its highly compressive properties. Strategically placed ELITE Transfer Aero fabric panels also provide you with enhanced aerodynamics.

As with all of Pearl Izumi's inserts, the TRI quick-dry chamois included in the suit is constructed with variable density padding, and is contoured specifically for anatomic comfort. This 3D anatomic fit provides the necessary support for the cycling leg, but doesn't inhibit either your run or swim. The insert is also quick drying, keeping you comfortable and dry after T1.

Speeding entry and exit of the suit, is a 10-inch stretch front zipper. The suit panels have been joined with a 'marrow' stitch construction, which rests flatly against your skin for maximum next-to-skin comfort. The nine inch inseam (size Medium) provides plenty of leg coverage, with smooth elastic silicone leg grippers keeping the suit in place. Two pockets along the lower back panel round out the suit.

The Pearl Izumi Elite In-R-Cool Tri Suit is available in five sizes from X-Small to X-Large and in the colors Black/Safety Orange, and Black/True Red.
