Pearl Izumi Elite Gel Vent Glove $0.00
For long, sweaty rides.
Non-gel gloves leave your hands feeling numb but gelled gloves give you sweaty-palm syndrome while you ride. Pearl Izumi understands and it made the Elite Gel Vent Bike Glove with vented gel pads. These gloves absorb vibration and allow hot air to escape. The U-bridge design alleviates nerve pressure on long training missions. Pearl Izumi finishes the outside of this glove with a soft leather palm and a microfleece wipe surface on the thumb.
- Measure around your hand at the widest point excluding the thumb.

Lifetime manufacturer warranty want does...
Lifetime manufacturer warranty want does that mean?I bought 2 pairs I thought i bought from you, love them but they are starting to full apart.
Great if you don't hit the deck
I have used these gloves on the road for almost 9000 miles. They hold up well, are cool and are good at dampening vibrations. However, if you don't hit the deck, the thin material on the back and no protection on the fingers will leave your hands open to major road rash / fractures on you hands.
Very comfortable set of gloves. The honeycomb elastic insert is positioned in the right places and really does a great job of eliminating wrist numbness. The strap is on the underside which is an intelligent position for it. The only downside is the sweat wipe, which is not soft.
Hardest part of ordering online is sizing I would think. I'm 6'4 with average size hands and the XL turned out to be a bit big although I've yet to wash them. Very comfortable and stylish though and the padding is effective.
Comfortable, lightweight, cool, just enough gel
Nice summer gloves - good venting
These are my second pair of PI Elite Gel Vent gloves. That's all you really need to know!
The venting around the palm is nice. The fit is snug, which is a good thing for a bike glove. I've washed my first set of gloves, and they still fit and look like they survived the washing machine and dryer ok.
Pulling them off is a bit of a struggle, not any worse than other gloves I've owned. Hopefully one day more glove makers will incorporate tried and true ways to help pull off snug gloves - look at Castelli Rosso Corsa for example, or Schieck weight lifting gloves.
So to sum up, all in all, a nice summer glove!
They look pretty cool! all black and red...
I've had gloves that retain odor, these don't (so far)
The gel pads seem a little firmer than I expected, but I've gotten accustomed...
They seem to run just a liiiittle bit small. All the reflective logo work is peeling off. (whatever)
I think the only downside is the lack of soft material on the backside-- I forgot my headband one day and about rubbed my eyelids raw.
Other than that they're on the cool side, both physically and aesthetically...
Fit great. Not much padding.
These gloves fit great. They don't squeeze or pinch or have seams in the wrong places. But if you are looking for padding, these are not for you. The padding seems to be placed strategically at pressure points but definitely not cushy.
I have both full fingered and fingerless Elite Gel Vent Gloves. Both are lite weight. The full fingured gloves keep your hands worm whem it's cool and the fingerless gloves stay cool when it's warm. Nice snug fit. However, I found that the sizing chart seems to be off by one full size. I measured a Large but the XL fits perfectly.
Good summer road bike gloves
PI gloves are generally reliable and well made. These are no exception!
They are nicely vented, even through the palm area - which worked well in 80+ deg weather. The padding was minimalist, a bit less than other PI gel gloves I've had, but sufficient. Like most bike gloves, they slide on more easily than they come off!
Disappointed in Pearl Izumi.
Considering the usual quality of Pearl Izumi products, these fall far short. I would even go as far as calling them "garbage". Within two days of having them, the gel pad started to come through the mesh on one of the palms, and the only way to get it back in was to cut the mesh, reinsert the gel, then superglue it shut. As of this review, I have simply just removed the gel and mesh after dealing with it so many times. They should have sealed it with leather instead of mesh. Also, after only two weeks, the reflected Pearl Izumi logo has completely peeled off of both gloves. DO NOT BUY THESE GLOVES. Pearl Izumi, I am incredibly disappointed in you.
Cool Gloves for Summer
I bought the gloves as a present for a significant other. He reports that the gloves are light and cool and run true to size. They served him fine on his road bike for short rides, but didn't have enough padding to cushion his hands for long or extended road trips. Based on the price paid, I was disappointed in the amout of padding and cushioning.
