Pearl Izumi's ELITE Barrier fabric sheds wind, while providing light water-resistance for coverage during summer storms. And when the weather breaks, removing the sleeves and stashing them in the back pocket makes for a logical solution to humid conditions. Additionally, Izumi incorporated its Direct-Vent panels in order to provide extra ventilation to the core.

On the other end of the temperature spectrum, the inner collar's micromesh lining adds a soft and warm sensation to the neck when fully-zipped up. And speaking of zippers, the full-length zip features an internal draft flap and zipper garage that prevents cold wind from penetrating the jacket. Furthering this concept are adjustable hook-and-loop closures at the wrist, and a one-handed elastic draw cord at the waist. As a system, you'll find that the threat of cold intrusion is nearly eliminated.

For ease of use, Pearl Izumi used a one-piece, integrated sleeve design that make removal, installation, and stowing the sleeves a simplified affair. The large rear pocket easily accepts the sleeves, and there are also two hand pockets available to house your essentials. And for increased visibility to motorists in low-light conditions, the jacket also features reflective accents throughout the construction.
