Work Great So Far

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XL

I wear both a size 43 and 44 in my biking shoes and the large booties were too small. Returned for an XL and they were much easier to velcro in the back. Would recommend to size up if your shoe size is close.

For a 25 hr race

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I picked these up for a 25 hr race that was expected to have cold nights. After looking at every other pair I kept these on account of the velco closure which makes the fit more adjustable. I have huge calves and found that the zip styles were only made for skinny legs. These worked out great for the night laps during the race.

Great Booties

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

Easy to put on, sturdy. Definitely an improvement over my old ones. Looks like they will last. PI makes the best gear!

Work As Advertised

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I have owned several pair of sho covers over the years. For MTB these things are great. I have about 8 rides on them so far and they are holding up great to some pretty sloppy conditions.

great product

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

i'm a 44 and i got the XL. the rear entry/velcro closure is fantastic. the soft shell fabric has just the right stretch for great closure. these are a perfect minimalist bootie that i know works in light rain, tire splatter and all. the other thing is the group at competitive cyclist. they are great. i had to send one bootie back and the process was made so easy. plus, they were determined to make sure i got a great replacement being as how i wasn't very savvy about booties in general. well, i can't say enough good things about this company and these people. you will not be disappointed... just ask for Amanda.

Does The Job For Me

I'm 65 years old and I wear a US men's size 9 sneaker. I ride a hybrid comfort bicycle for exercise. I wanted a shoe cover to fit over my sneakers. I ordered a large and had to return them for an extra large. The extra large barely fits over my sneakers. I do like the Velcro closure in the back of the covers instead of a zipper.

    cold weather mountain biking OK

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Day one with these shoe covers was 30º. I could hardly tell they were on as the fit was impeccable. My size 9+ foot fit perfectly inside the large shoe cover and cold was no more a factor for my feet. Furthermore, I happened to run out of trail on this first ride and, after a long down-climb with my bike on my shoulder and the only thing I noticed at the bottom was that the toe strap of the cover slipped off. I've been on cold rides since where time was spent off the pedals on short hike-a-bikes, and the kevlar reinforcing seems like it will hold up quite well.

    Great shoe cover

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I just used this on a rainy century and it performed great. My feet stayed dry although they still sweated. My feet never got cold on that windy rainy ride. I wear a 46 Sidi mega shoe and it fit fine. However, I probably wouldnt venture much bigger than that .
