Found My Winter Glove

I went through many many pairs of gloves, but nothing could keep my finger tips from freezing below 30 deg. by the end of my 30 minute commute. I finally purchased these lobster gloves, and can end my search for the perfect winter glove. They are very comfortable and warm. That's all there is to it!

Perfect for freezing cold days

Just wore these out for ~ 1 1/2 hour ride in ~32 degree weather with a slight breeze. My hands had a slight chill at first, but once I started riding, they were toasty and warm. I had stop for a minute to check something and my hands got cold again, but after I got back on the bike I was comfortable. I'm completely happy with them. It was cold enough that I had fleece-lined neoprene boot covers and wool socks on my feet, but my hands were much warmer than my feet. That says something about these gloves. My guess is that I can wear these down to the high teens, and up to around 40. For reference, I always have cold hands.

Awesome

I have worn these gloves down to 20 deg F and when I got home my hands were warm. No cold numb fingers anymore. This is my first winter riding since I don't count So Cal as winter but now live in Missouri. How low can I go with these gloves I don't know but I don't think my hands/fingers will be the limiting factor in my riding this winter. Now if I could just find something as good for my feet (shoe size 48-48.5).

Underachievers

I can't figure out why, but despite the bulk of these gloves, they don't keep my fingers warm once the temperature drops below freezing. At 28 deg. F., fingers on both hands get quite cold, even with heavy exertion. I've had to cover them up with nylon lobster wind covers to keep my fingers warm at 25 deg. F. Just not up to the job for me.

rad like Mr. Spock

I've had ongoing problems keeping my hands warm in the past. But now, I'm foreseeing problems keeping everything else as warm as my hands.

Workmanship on these gloves is evident all across the board--from the ultra soft Pittard palm leather, to the individual finger liners inside, to the fleece snot-panel on the thumb of each glove. Wondered about the glove inhibiting shifting and braking, but it allows performance of each with ease.

Fantastic winter solution.
