Description

The VP-1 Patch Kit includes six thin and flexible patches with tapered edges to blend with the tubes profile. Four round patches are 25 mm in diameter for smaller holes. Two oval patches of 25 mm x 35 mm are for wider cuts. A tube of self-vulcanizing fluid bonds the patch to the tube at the molecular level. Each kit is packaged in a small plastic box with sandpaper for cleaning the tube and instructions.

  • Four round patches
  • Two oval patches
  • Self-vulcanizing fluid

This patch kit works nice

Small pkg, fits in my mtn biking pack well. Has many different sizes of patches, the glue works quickly. I use tubes so this is a must have.

    GOAT IS GOOD

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

cheap and it works. I’m a tubeless fan but for bikepacking or super long rides, need to be prepared to tube it and repair those in emergency. In addition to repairing tubes, I just used a couple of the longer patches to repair side wall slits in some expensive tubeless tires. So far they are holding up with this repair—if so, it saved me running tubes or buying two new tires at $80 each… One small note—probably ought to buy a new patch kit every season or after you break the seal on the vulcanizing glue—whichever comes first. The glue volatilizes readily and has a tendency to be gone when you need it.

    A must have!

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Every proper on trail/road repair kit needs one of these. Let's face it, if you are cheap, you should get one to have at home too so that you can bring your dusted tubes back to life. I have had some pretty horrible luck with using any other patch kit, but the way these seal up with the vulcanizing fluid is pretty much magic. Way cheaper and lighter than tubes so do yourself a favor (and likely your riding buddies) and buy one of these gems!

From time to time, you will just want to make sure that the glue has not hardened up on you and always make sure to make certain that he cap is on super tight when storing this back in your kit to help eliminate this from happening all together.

    Great Repair kit.

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

For less than the price of a tube you can fix a tube several times. This creates a way better/more permanent fix than the Sticker type patch kits. A bit more fuss but worth it in my opinion.

    Patchwork

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Always keep it riding pack. Seals up holes with ease so you can keep rocking those tubes. I have had the glue dry up before I was able to use all the patches. Isn't a good time to find out that your glue has dried up when you are out on the trail with a flat tire.

    When Flats Strike

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Be prepared to conquer them! Make sure each one of your packs has one... Camelbak, check! Commuter tool roll, check! Heck, keep one in your tool box too. Nothin' too fancy about them, they do what they were intended to do!

This kit works better than any other patch kit I've used to date. Easy to use and it saves me from needing to purchase expensive $8 to $16. Thanks again Park Tool

    Save the Tubes!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Great patch kit for saving some tubes. When tubes costs $7-$15 a pop, a little patch kit like this can go a long way for you. Easy to patch and has helped up great for the tubes I've repaired. Fluid will not last forever.

fluid tube doesn't last long once opened

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Patches work fine but the fluid tube rapidly dries out once it's opened....had to find out the hard way when I flatted in the middle of nowhere only to find out my patch kit wasn't really a patch kit any longer.

    the best patches

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

For whatever reason these patches last much longer than the cheap chinese ones you can get worldwide. Fluid still doesn't last forever, but I haven't found a fluid that does.

    I've used two patches.

In the picture I have two less patches that I used. Great to have in your pack when on the trail. Small enough to fit in a small pocket.

    I've used two patches.

    Easy Repair

These are great patches that bond extremely well to your tube. No need to toss your tube after a puncture, just patch it and get back out there.
