Item # PAR0274

Ride long and prosper.

Flats happen, but even the most careless pedaler wouldn't use all six of the patches in Park Tool's Vulcanizing Patch Kit in a single ride, right? The two oval patches cover up bigger holes, the four smaller round patches are for littler punctures, and the self-vulcanizing fluid bonds tube and patch together on a molecular level, which is code for "really well". Park Tool threw in a small piece of sandpaper, too, so you can rough up the surfaces for a better bond.

  • Four round patches
  • Two oval patches
  • Self-vulcanizing fluid
  • Sandpaper

Quick and Easy Patch

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This does exactly what you want a patch kit to do. Quick and simple to use. Fixed a flat on my Mountain bike and no difficulties.

All I needed was quality - Check!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Not a whole lot to say about Park Tool's patch kit, it just isn't that complicated. That said, lots of other vendors and big box stores have similar crappy versions of this same package. Do yourself a favor and buy this one; you'll get good quality tapered patches and everything else you need in order to get the job done in the field (or on the road). Very happy with my purchase.

You can never have too many

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

We currently have 7 bikes at my house between my roommate and I, and hey, flats happen. You can never have too many of these little patch kits lying around. They are small, well thought out, easy to use, and best of all reliable. I order a new one every couple of weeks or so just so we don't run out.

Works

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I typically use this kit when I have time at home to fix a flat. I use the self adhesive version while on the road; much faster for repairs on the road. I'd recommend it.

Takes time, but long lasting

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These patches take a bit longer than the self-adhesive patches, but seem to create a much better seal. Whereas the self-adhesive patches will get you home, they don't provide much more piece of mind, these patches hold much better and can provide many miles of worry free riding. Just be sure to follow the directions to create the best seal possible.

GOAT IS GOOD

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

cheap and it works. I’m a tubeless fan but for bikepacking or super long rides, need to be prepared to tube it and repair those in emergency. In addition to repairing tubes, I just used a couple of the longer patches to repair side wall slits in some expensive tubeless tires. So far they are holding up with this repair—if so, it saved me running tubes or buying two new tires at $80 each… One small note—probably ought to buy a new patch kit every season or after you break the seal on the vulcanizing glue—whichever comes first. The glue volatilizes readily and has a tendency to be gone when you need it.

A must have!

Every proper on trail/road repair kit needs one of these. Let's face it, if you are cheap, you should get one to have at home too so that you can bring your dusted tubes back to life. I have had some pretty horrible luck with using any other patch kit, but the way these seal up with the vulcanizing fluid is pretty much magic. Way cheaper and lighter than tubes so do yourself a favor (and likely your riding buddies) and buy one of these gems!

From time to time, you will just want to make sure that the glue has not hardened up on you and always make sure to make certain that he cap is on super tight when storing this back in your kit to help eliminate this from happening all together.

Great Repair kit.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

For less than the price of a tube you can fix a tube several times. This creates a way better/more permanent fix than the Sticker type patch kits. A bit more fuss but worth it in my opinion.

gotta have item

you have to have one of these in your pocket or saddle bag along with your tube, super easy to use and will save you in a pinch.

These work great

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I started patching my tubes when i moved out here to Utah. These work as well as any i've ever used.

Patchwork

Always keep it riding pack. Seals up holes with ease so you can keep rocking those tubes. I have had the glue dry up before I was able to use all the patches. Isn't a good time to find out that your glue has dried up when you are out on the trail with a flat tire.

When Flats Strike

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Be prepared to conquer them! Make sure each one of your packs has one... Camelbak, check! Commuter tool roll, check! Heck, keep one in your tool box too. Nothin' too fancy about them, they do what they were intended to do!

Don't toss that tube!

This kit works better than any other patch kit I've used to date. Easy to use and it saves me from needing to purchase expensive $8 to $16. Thanks again Park Tool

Save the Tubes!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great patch kit for saving some tubes. When tubes costs $7-$15 a pop, a little patch kit like this can go a long way for you. Easy to patch and has helped up great for the tubes I've repaired. Fluid will not last forever.
