Get this for Cinch direct mount rings

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I haven't touched as ISIS bottom bracket in years, but this tool is what you need to change the direct mount ring on a RaceFace Cinch crank. The 32C variant is best used with a large crescent wrench or a vice. The 22C option has a 3/8 socket fitment.

Change Chain Rings

I bought this to be able to easily swap out chain rings and it works great!

A New Use for an Old Tool

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

There were only a few times I had ever used a Shimano/ISIS BB tool in my bike mechanic days and that was just to remove old, stubborn bottom brackets. Now though, it's got a new job. Instead of creating a new, proprietary tool for the installation and removal of Direct-Mount chainrings on Cinch interface cranks, RaceFace simply cut the direct-mount lock-rings to work with the BBT-22C tool. I'm happy to see a dusty tool get a new use.

Will this remove the Shimano cassette as...

Will this remove the Shimano cassette as well as the bottom bracket?

I know this is an old question, but for other people looking:

This will remove just the bottom bracket, you need FR-5/FR-5G or similar to remove the cassette
