What is the length of this tool?

I don't have the tool in front of me, but they are about 14".

Great tool to have around!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Definitely the tool to have if you are going to switch cassettes of of your training wheels onto your race wheels. Easy to use!

Multi use.

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Dont let other people tell you this wont work on a cassette, because it will. But a standard chain whip wont work on a track cog.

This one works on both. A great tool to own so you dont need one for each bike.

A must have tool for the home mechanic

I struggled for years with home made tools to remove a cassette. Finally bought this tool and now removing a cassette is a snap. Like all Park Tools, it's well made and does the job it was designed for.

Will this chain whip work with a standard...

Will this chain whip work with a standard 10spd road cassette? Park makes several other chain whips, but I'm unsure on what the difference is.

Hey Kevin,

This will work with your 10spd chain. The basic difference in the ones on Parks site is materials they use to make them and the durability of them.

backcountry doesn't sell it yet, but park tool also makes the SR-11 the is compatable with 5 speed - 11 speed.
