Cheap & Easy To Use

I got caught having to replace both my chain and cassette a few weeks ago and won't let that happen again with this handy tool. It's cheap and easy to use. Make sure to initially check your chain as a baseline and to build familiarity with the checker.

    Must own

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

way cheaper than guessing. We use this tool in here in the Backcountry.com Retail Bike Shop in salt lake city.

    Cheaper than a new cassette

If you've ever made the mistake of running your chain too long, and needing to replace your cassette as a result, then spending less than $30 on a chain checker is money well spent. Just need to remember to check your your chain regularly.
