Trail functionality, refined.

Designed for the needs of fat tire fanatics, the Osprey Raptor 14 Hydration Pack offers innovative storage for riders ditching the city for the sweet solitude and flowing fun of singletrack. This premium hydration pack includes a 3-liter Hydraulics reservoir for ample hydration when you're completing sweltering desert epics or cruising through vast swaths of deciduous forest. The BioStretch harness wraps your shoulders and hips with mesh-covered foam for a contoured fit, and Atilon foam embedded into the frame bolsters support while facilitating active movement on your bike.

Decked out with functional storage, the Raptor 14 features a stretch-mesh front compartment that's large enough for spare layers, a riding jacket, packed lunch, and other bulky items. Zippered hip belt pockets offer handy access to riding snacks and trail nutrition, as well as accommodating smaller must-have items. Another impressive feature is the removable roll-top tool compartment, which allows for simple repairs when you're miles from civilization. Other cool features include a blinking light attachment and Osprey's innovative LidLock helmet carrier.

How to Measure:
For best results, have someone take the measurement for you.
Torso:
Start at the iliac crest (the top of your hipbone that you can feel like a shelf on the side of your body). From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Make sure to keep your back straight while having the measurement taken.
Hip:
Measure around your hips, at your iliac crest, not your waist.

Osprey = awesome

Excellent all-around pack. Good size hydration pack with plenty of storage. Tool compartment is neat and handy. Very nice fit and comfortable.

Appreciate the great review, Eric - thank you!

Do you have any rain covers that will fit this bag? I like to mountain bike during winter months so my back pack always gets muddy. Any suggestions.

Hey Dennis, we do! Try the Osprey Hi-Vis Raincover in size XS. That will fit a pack that is 10L - 20L. I see that Backcountry is out of stock... when do you need it? I can see when they are getting more in... Let me know!

    Great pack!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Very nicely made, seems to stay put on my back well, and the compartments are nicely laid out. Oh, and the bladder and bite valve work well.

One minor quibble: the smaller side-access zip pocket has a divided mesh compartment inside it that's accessed from the top - which makes it hard to get at things in the compartments.

Osprey makes great packs. This one too!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a great pack. Once again Osprey has thought of everything. From a really easy to access hydration bladder to super functional zipper handles. This may be only a 14 liter but It can easily fit as much as a standard 20 liter bag. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to stow everything you need for a day hike. The shoulder straps hug in close enough to allow free range of motion with your arms. I am a big fan.

Best MTB Bag on the Market

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

So I've been using this bag for a few months now and I'm convinced the folks at Osprey literally thought of everything for it. It has so much practical and logical storage like zip pockets on the hip belt, and an awesome tool pouch on the bottom of the bag. Ive been on rides with it all over Utah and it's comfortable and has plenty of room for gear, food, and hydration for long trips. Prior to this bag I always used Camelbak hydration packs for biking, but there's no doubt in my mind that the Raptor is king.

    Niiiiiiice!!! Thanks Nick!

    Great for MTBing

Great larger pack for those longer mtb days! Has pockets and storage for everything and holds up well if you toss on the ground often.

Thanks Reilly! You know we also have a women's equivalent called the Raven - Both are awesome!

      da best

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

took this out on a trip and it worked fantastic, held more then enough water to stay hydrated, and was able to carry all that I needed with me. I had lunch, jacket, phone, and snacks with room to spare.
if you need a new hydration pack, this is for you!

      Yes.

One of my favorite features of this pack is how accessible the bladder is. I'm not the least laziest guy around, so I appreciate the consideration Osprey gave to people like me when they made it super easy to pull the hydration pack in and out. And that's important because nobody likes a stinky bladder.

Great build by Osprey. I always look forward to shoving my stuff in this pack on every ride.

        Quality pack from Osprey

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I use this pack for my longer rides when I need to carry more food, tools, jacket or pads. It has plenty of room for an epic ride and great features specifically for mtn biking. I love to tool pouch that keeps my tools and spares organized rather than all mixed up in the bottom of a pocket. I was not as impressed with the new Osprey Hydraulics reservoir so I set it aside and use an older Osprey reservoir. This pack is also a great size for a day hike and carries everything you need for a 4+ hour hike.

        Love it

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pack has been great. Feature rich, well made and overall comfort is really good even in the summer heat. We bought two wife got the Raven. Using these for AM tight woods single track & it stays put. New reservoir design is sweet.

        Great Pack for Riding

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this for long cross country mountain bike rides and love it. It ride close to my back and my tools don't bounce around all over the place. I like it so much I am going to buy one for my downhill mtn biking as well, It is nice to have water on the go and also a tube in case you are higher on the mountain and need to do a quick change!
