Born in the Basque country.

Orbea's Alma Hydro 29 H70 Complete Bike borrows heavily from its carbon fiber Alma, which is widely renowned as a cross-country rocket. So, you'll get quick handling and a race-ready spec that's ready for new riders and seasoned veterans alike.

Orbea borrowed heavily from its carbon fiber Alma when it came time to design the Alma Hydro. The Alma Hydro shares the same tight handling geometry that makes the carbon version so popular, as well as Orbea's signature lines. However, where the difference lies is in the Alma Hydro's triple-butted, 7005 aluminum tubing. Basically, each tube is thicker at the ends than it is in the middle. This formation not only saves weight, but it also works in conjunction with Orbea's hallmark tube shapes in order to provide plenty of compliance. And that means that you'll be comfortable on long rides, whether you're racing or just getting some laps in on your favorite trails.

The front end of the bike is suspended by SR Suntour's XCR fork, which provides 100mm of travel in order to smooth out the trail. Additionally, it has a handlebar mounted remote lockout, so you're able to switch from a smooth ride to all-out efficiency while you're climbing. Orbea's house brand wheels keep you rolling on a stiff and light platform. So, you won't waste unnecessary energy pedaling around on unnecessarily heavy wheels. Additionally, they're wrapped in Geax AKA tires, which are widely popular for their fast rolling, gripp'y tread pattern.

The drivetrain is a blend of Shimano, which features and Acera rear derailleur and shift, as well as an Alivio front derailleur. When combined with the triple chainring crankset and the 11-34t cassette, you not only get quick, crisp shifts, but enough gear range to tackle almost any trail that you come across. Shimano's BR-M395 brakes handle stopping duties, allowing you to slow things down when you approach the edge of control. Rounding out the cockpit is an assortment of Orbea items for the handlebar, stem, and seatpost. And the Selle Italia Q-BIK MTB saddle gives you a comfortable perch to sit on mile after mile.

The Orbea Alma Hydro 29 H70 Complete Bike is available in the sizes Small, Medium, and Large and in the colors Black/yellow, Black/silver/red, White/blue, and White/red.
