hassle free

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I usually use Nuun because they are relatively inexpensive and the container allows me to take it anywhere. I put one tablet in a 16+ oz bottle. Its light not chalky.
As an endurance racer never felt like I was thirstier after taking a swig like I have with other products. Never had any cramping after consuming. It does have sodium bicarbonate therefore any long distance running can jostle the stomach and make you burpy.

One of my fave electrolyte options!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Time and time again I find myself buying these Nuun Electrolyte tablets, they're absolutely great! I love the feeling that I'm getting what I need without all the added sugar that bottled beverages will give you. I would recommend these to anyone who lives an active lifestyle!

A must for high desert hiking

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

An absolute must for hiking in arid environments. Adds welcome flavor to water making it easy to drink even when warm. A lesson if i may... adding one to a full bottle and resealing with an un-vented cap will result in a chemical reaction that will cause your bottle to fizzle over when again opened. Live and learn.

Great for Multiple uses!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I always keep some of this stuff handy! Definitely use it when I feel the need for some electrolytes from being active, but I've also used it to jump start my day after a night out, when I'm not feeling 100% or when regular water just wont cut it. The flavors I've tried have all been really good, I especially favor the Fruit Punch and mixed Berry.

Placebo effect?

I'd like to think it's doing something. At the very least it makes me drink 16oz of flavored water before I re-fill my Nalgene all the way up to the top.

    Great taste...didn't notice the effects.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Nuun tablets are an extremely lightweight option to bring sports hydration into the backcountry. The flavors taste great (my personal favorite is tri-berry), but on big days I still noticed I was getting cramping. Found they work best for low-moderate activities.

    Tri-berry is my favorite!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I wouldn't use Nuun on a bike ride, but I would use it to get hydrated before exercising. I usually put a tablet into my water an hour before training. It acts similar to Airborne.

    Helps your body hydrate

What a huge difference from just drinking plain water: my body actually absorbs the water instead of just running through me. And, no chalky aftertaste like Emergen-C. Good stuff.

      Drink more!

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've tried different types of mixes, and what I've found is that regardless of flavor or brand, drinking more water makes me feel better on a long ride or hike. Nuun helps me do that in because

      It doesn't:

--Taste too sweet when you're trying to drink a bottle an hour

      --Make your bottles dirty

--Settle down so the top of your bottle is just water while the bottom is syrup

      However, It Does:

      --Taste really refreshing

--Require almost zero effort to mix

      --Have fizz

--Let you eat calories and drink hydration on different schedules without one affecting the other

Avg. ride time: 4h 55m per week

      Luv'Em

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Work very well, easy to carry, lots of different flavors to choose from.

Definitely a don't leave home w/out them type of item.

      Works well

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got them for the easy electrolyte boost. I always seem to drop them in water bottles that are too big, (i.e. nalgene) so they end up being pretty watered down, kind of like that lemons and water wedding punch you drink just because it's there. I'm sure they taste better with the recommended 16 oz bottle, but these are just so convenient I can't help it, just drop it in and go.

Lots of Cycling? Up Your Water

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have been using the nuun for a few years now, and would not cycle without them. It adds a great (light) effervescence to plain water and flavor as well. Can I say definitively that it has helped me absorb the water/hydrate better? No, I am not a freakin' scientist, but I mentally believe it does - which in cycling, mental is half the battle. Very light flavor, awesome on long rides.

      great product

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

i like these a lot. Very convenient and easy to transport in a hydration bag, ect. They taste nice too and the fizz keeps it interesting :)

      Great for hydration and hangovers

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bring Nuun with me on outdoor adventures for two reasons; 1. Hydrate while on the ride 2. It's THE BEST hangover cure! Rid the whiskey from your legs before you ride with a Nuun and you'll thank me.

      Lemon Lime is my favorite

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I had tried almost all the flavors when I bought a box of mixed NUUN and my favorite is Lemon Lime. I usually put one into my 21 once water bottle and 2 for my 24 once water bottle. Great for hydration and to prevent cramp. Unlike other Electrolyte tablets, NUUN does not make you more thirsty after the ride and does not have strong after taste. For me, when I am riding for more than 2 hours, I will carry 1 bottle with NUUN and 1 bottle with plain water.

      Eh?

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Received a tube of Tri-Berry from a friend. It's ok... less fizzy than Gu Brew and the flavor is less intense. Can't say I've experienced any noticeable benefit from drinking it during/after runs though, but no ill effects either. I like the tube design so there's no individual packaging to fumble with.
