Great Jacket overall but long in sleeves

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Size Bought: Medium

This jacket is incredibly versatile, waterproof and windproof. I wore this on a hike with high winds at the top and on/off light/medium rain showers. All I had on was this and a medium-fleece. This jacket is definitely waterproof and windproof. Only gripe is the sleeve length is extremely long.

I'm 5'11", 195 with a 41 chest. a Medium fit perfectly with room enough for a light-medium layer. however the sleeve length goes to almost my fingertips. I'm keeping this jacket but just wish I can do something about the sleeve length besides rolling it up/tighten the wrist velcros..

I'm trying to decide between the Bitihorn Dri1 and Bitihorn Dri3 as a go-to, all around rain shell. The Dri1 is lighter but at how much sacrifice to durability (at least as compared to the Dri3). There is a big overlap at the activities they target so it seems like the only practical difference is where you prefer your pockets (and a couple hundred grams). Any thoughts are appreciated.

This is what I know:

Dri3 is a 3 layer jacket, Dri1 is a 2.5 layer jacket. The main difference between the two is durability (and cost). The 2.5 layer eliminates the inner layer and is replaced by a printed or sprayed layer (outer layer may be the same on both).

I know people who do the entire Pacific Crest Trail with 2.5L jacket.

How much longer does a 3 layer jacket last, that I don't know.
