Just over two hundred grams lighter than the highest output Niterider, the Pro 3600, the Pro 2200 Dual Beam Race Light still puts out an impressive 2200 lumens. That's possible from the two light chambers each housing Cree XML LED bulbs.
Instead of projecting a direct beam, the two light chambers broadcast a massive halo of light when turned to the full 2200 lumens. However, lower light settings also maintain that effect by projecting light over a wide area. To keep the light from overheating, gills are positioned on the sides of the body for ventilation.
Since LED lights produce an incredible amount of heat, the Pro 2200 uses a Borofloat lens on the front of the light. Compared to tempered glass, Borofloat, a form of borosilicate glass, won't shatter if your hot light falls into a stream. Powering the 2200 is a four cell Li-ion Battery with an eight step fuel guage.
On the high setting, it will last an hour and fifteen minutes, medium provides 1200 Lumens for 2:30, and low produces 600 Lumens for 5 hours. There is an ultra-low setting of 80 lumens too, that lasts 34 hours. The Pro 2200 Dual Beam Race Light comes with a handlebar mount which accommodates bars up to 31.8 mm in diameter. It also includes a helmet mount, extension cable, and charger.
