The crew at New Balance took your minimalism-minded sensibilities to heart when they created the Men's Minimus MO10 Gore-Tex Trail Running Shoe. Don't think you're limited to hard-packed dirt trails or even urban asphalt paths by the slim silhouette of the MO10. The low-profile upper and sleekly robust Vibram sole turn this shoe into a shadow-dancing, trail-hungry beast.
Shoe engineers know that mud and tree guts get your juices flowing, so they added a Gore-Tex insert to the upper. Gore-Tex waterproofing keeps your toes dry when you're puddle-pounding on trails. Breathability matters when you go sockless; Gore-Tex manages your foot moisture so sweat doesn't linger. This, and the antimicrobial treatment, ensure that you won't be feeding the shoe-stink beasts.
The now-classic Minimus upper offers a sock-like fit (whether or not you're wearing socks) along with extra support in the heel and across the forefoot for lateral stability. The 4mm heel-forefoot drop supports your forefoot-striking ways, while the NL-1 last lowers the profile of this shoe and gives your tootsies room to spread out with a wider forefoot. Underfoot, the Acteva midsole cushions your every step without weighing you down. The rugged Vibram outsole provides maximum surface contact and multi-directional traction lugs that grip treacherous trails.
