The New Balance Women's 1400v2 Racing Comp Running Shoe won't slow you down as you chase a Boston-qualifying time at St. George or the Twin Cities marathons. This lightweight shoe flexes like a pro bodybuilder but without the accompanying vats of baby oil and fake tanner. Whether you're ripping off 400 repeats on the track, fartleking between power-line poles, or chasing your Boston dreams, this soft, speedy shoe keeps up.
Air mesh uppers keep your feet feeling sweet whether it's mile 1 or mile 25. TPU overlays provide a whiff of support without adding a single stitch. Welding eliminates seams without sacrificing support, reducing the likelihood your foot will become a blistery mess after you clock a sub-3:15 BQ race. On the bottom, the Revlite foam insole cushions your tootsies from heel-strike to toe-off without the weight of other footstrike softeners. Your feet will actually feel good after flying through 26.2 miles.
The Ndurance rubber outsole is light in terms of mass and heavy in terms of durability and responsiveness. All of the lightweight tech gets packed into the NBJ high-performance last. This last gives the 1400v2 a glove-like fit, um, since you've often worn gloves on your feet. The heel width stays standard, but the rest of the shoe loses volume. From training tempo runs to toeing the start line on race day, this speed-demon shoe is ready to go.
