New-school chain retention.

The MRP AMG Retention System is built to keep your aggressive trail bike’s chain online when you’re getting wild. With the widespread acceptance of one-by drivetrains, and clutch-equipped rear derailleurs, many riders have simply chosen to forgo chain retention altogether, but if you check out the bikes that are being raced on the Enduro World Series, you’ll find them universally running a top guide like the AMG. After all, it protects your drivetrain from rock debris, and adds the security necessary when you’re pushing your trail bike so hard that you’re wondering why you left your full face helmet at home.

The MRP AMG Retention System is available in three mount styles—bottom bracket mount, ISCG, and ISCG05, in two sizes for either a 28-32t, or 32-38t chainring, and in the colors Black, and White.

MRP AMG chasing guide

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Awesome, tested at Downieville. 18 miles of descent, from mud, snow, water, boulders, rocks and pretty much everything you can throw at. Not a single chain drop. Thanks mrp! It looks good too!

Solid construction from a reputable brand. I ordered this and was stoked to put it on my bike. Turns out I choose the wrong bolt pattern. I returned the item and went with a different size and was pretty pleased. Keeps the chain on board and when paired with a narrow-wide ring, it is so money. Never drop a chain again!

Keeps the chain where it should be.

Recently moved to a 1x system? They work great until the trail conditions get to be less than perfect. Even with todays narrow-wide rings you can still drop chains if you get mud caked in your drivetrain. This system will keep you pedaling even through the worst conditions, plus it's got a bash guard to help keep your BB area looking fresh
