A mountain in a bottle.

A not-so-secret of elite athletes is altitude training. Specifically, the "live high, train low" mantra, the former part which dictates living at higher altitude to increase red blood cell count and hemoglobin production, thereby increasing circulatory capacity, while the latter step referring to the fact that the body can be pushed harder at lower altitudes while training, which makes for a faster training recovery times and greater performance thresholds when game day comes. Because not all of us have the luxury of access to such venues, however, the Mountain Might Sport Supplement was created to essentially duplicate the positive effects of altitude on the body.

Mountain Might has completed rigorous testing and complies with all NCAA, WADA, NFL, and IOC standards. And in fact, the ingredient list is fairly small: B-12, iron, sodium phosphate, and an Adaptive Altitude complex which includes N-acetyl-cysteine and hawthorn berry powder.

So, how does it work? Well, there is scientific research that indicates that improvements in red blood cell hemoglobin concentrations are not induced by our kidneys as they become deoxygenated, as was previously thought. Instead, Mountain Might's research shows that it is actually our oxygen sensors that regulate both blood cell production as well as strengthened lung ventilation. However, these sensors do not respond directly to lower oxygen levels. Instead, they are activated by thiol compounds which are molecules released during hypoxia. Essentially, if the body can be triggered to release thiol molecules, then the altitude training response begins, regardless of whether or not the athlete is actually at altitude. This means that if thiol molecules are detected, our body begins the process of acclimating. In its research Mountain Might discovered that significant amounts of N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) a naturally occurring anti-oxidant precursor, increase thiol in the body.

As mentioned, Mountain Might Sport Supplement includes sodium phosphate and hawthorn berry extract, both of which have been shown to assist with muscle buffering capacity as well as cardiac output. The sodium phosphate has also been shown in clinical studies to increase levels of the enzyme 2,3 DPG. This enzyme decreases hemoglobin's affinity for oxygen which means that delivery to muscle tissue is improved.

Mountain Might Sport Supplement is available in a single 88-capsule bottle. Please carefully read all instructions and related materials in regards to recommended dosages.
