Thursday comes from Thor's Day. That's the day of thunder. A perfect description of what we do on our Thursday rides.

Magura's Thor fork is an adjustable travel all mountain hammer that allows us to beat up on our friends. Nicely, of course. The fork has a handlebar-mounted remote to make travel adjustment as easy as adjusting a lever. We can tighten it up to 100mm for smooth climbing and open it up to 140mm to bomb a minefield. The fork is the lightest weight-to-travel ratio fork in its class, which is a nice thing when you don't use chairlifts. Don't know about you, but we generally climb as much as we descend on our rides.

Magura, being ever the precise company, gives us plenty of knobs to play with. Basically, everything adjusts. They also do a good job with thru-axle options, giving you the choice of the popular Rock Shox Maxle 360 for quick-release convenience and thru-axle stiffness.

The Magura Thor 140AM fork has 140-100mm of adjustable travel with a Maxle 360 thru axle. There is an optional remote, known as Flight Control Remote (FCR), to adjust the travel on the fly. The damper is the Albert Select Plus (sometimes written AS+), an external on/off platform damper with easy-to-use aluminum knobs. The adjustments include travel via a remote, AS+ on/off and the platform resistance, rebound, and pre-load. The pre-load and spring is air. The disc mount is post-style 7", meaning you can mount your post mount caliper directly to the fork to run a 185mm rotor. The maximum approved rotor size is 210mm (8.5"). There is an integrated hose guide on the lowers. The steerer tube diameter is 1 1/8 inches. The stanchion diameter is 32mm. The maximum tire size is 26 x 2.6". It has an axle-to-crown measurement of 520mm. The color options are Glossy Black or Race White. 1785g (3.93lbs).
