Magura knows that 100mm of travel is not for everybody. An extra 20mm can do wonders. Magura took their popular Durin design and adjusted the design to work with 120mm of travel and introduced the Magura Durin Marathon fork. It's a long-travel race fork, or an all-day fork, or an epic fork, or smooth jazz fork compared to the boppy Durin SL. Maybe not the best comparison, but some people need a bit less edge than others.
Like the Durin Race, this fork features the Albert Select Plus platform that has been improved to be better over the complete speed range. It is just as adjustable as the Race, with easy-to-use aluminum knobs that beg to be dialed and re-dialed for micro fine-tuning. While you're on the bike, you can use the Remote Control Lever (RCL) for adjusting the platform on the fly.
The disc-specific Magura Durin Marathon fork has 120mm of air-sprung travel. The damper is the Albert Select Plus (AS+), an external on/off platform damper with easy-to-use aluminum knobs. The adjustments include AS+ on/off and the platform resistance, rebound, and pre-load. The pre-load is air. The wheel mounts via a Safety Drop Out (SD), a 45-degree angle, forward facing fork tips that accept quick release axle hubs. The steerer tube diameter is 1-1/8", and the stanchions are 32mm aluminum, wrapped in magnesium lowers with a 6" post disc brake mount. Maximum recommended rotor size is 210mm (8.5"). The crown is forged and hollow 6082-T6 aluminum. The axle to crown measurement is 493mm. The maximum tire size that will fit is 26 x 2.6". There is an integrated hose guide in the lowers, and it comes with an air pump. Choose between Race White or Glossy Black. 1555g (3.42lbs).
