There are two flavors to the Magura Durin Marathon. Like chocolate and vanilla, both are exotic and tasty. It gets down to what kind of rider you are. The other is a fixed 120 of travel, whereas this has adjustable travel of 120 to 80mm via a handlebar-mounted remote. Whether this makes your preference chocolate or vanilla is up to you.
The tinker in us loves adjustable travel forks. We've mentioned it before, and we've got to write it again, the desire to find the perfect travel resides within us. It's an angel, demon, angel, demon, angom, degel, that can go too far. If you need that kind of precision, adjustable travel is for you. If the choice leads to paralysis, ala The Paradox of Choice, choose the fixed-travel fork.
