Hutch fed their snake tire a special diet where they added tread and casing and removed the (airtight) skim to create a new bigger and badder Python Tubeless Ready 29er, a monster with fangs that bite the earth and bite and never let go. Constrictors might not be known for their bite, but when a six-meter long limbless, scaly, elongate reptile bites, it is not letting go. Like the shorter Pythons, this is a great hardpack tire consisting of low, linked knobs down the middle for low rolling resistance and taller, by 1.5mm, side knobs for better bite through the hardpack, and in between are intermediate-height knobs for better cornering. The tread is a synthetic rubber compound that is tough and light and will go for miles and miles and miles. The result is a big tire that rides like a small tire, the great contact patch and superior roll of the 29er, with the speed of a 26er.
The Hutchinson Python 29 Tubeless ready tire measures 29 x 2.1. The casing is 127tpi with a folding bead. It can be used with or without a tube. If you choose the tubeless route, it is necessary to use initially inflate the tire with a latex sealant. 645g.
