With the Fox 32 F29 RLC fork, Fox has taken all the specificity of their F series and adapted those features into a 29er fork. It's been a great addition to the F line and to the world of 29ers. The F29 chassis is not merely an elongated 26er fork, but has its own crown, tapered legs, webbed brace, and even a patented damper unique to the 29er platform. Most importantly, Fox improved the steering characteristics of the fork by decreasing the trail of the fork, which in the topsy-turvy world of steering means that the fork offset has been increased to 44mm.

For 2009, the F29 shaves roughly 50 grams off the 2008 iteration through a newly designed crown, and lighter steerer tube. The RLC -- Rebound, Lockout, and (low-speed) Compression damper -- has also been improved in much the same way as the 2009 32 F100 RLC. The oil flow has been improved to the point that less air pressure in the air spring yields the same ride it did in the previous model. The advantage is greater adjustability in tuning the fork. It can more easily be tuned to enhance small bump sensitivity.

The Fox 32 F29 RLC fork belongs to the F-series and is built to work with 29er wheels with quick release axles. It is an RLC fork that has 80 (F80), 100 (F100) or new-for-2009, 120mm (F120) of travel. The air sprung fork has adjustable low speed compression, lockout, air spring pressure, rebound, and force adjustment. The right crown as an ergonomic lockout lever on top. The damper works in an open bath. The stanchions are 32mm, and the lowers are disc specific with a post-style mount. The axle to crown distance is 480.8mm on the F80 and 500.8mm on the F100. There is an integrated disc brake cable guide on the left-side leg. The legs are white with blue decals and silver F29 bands. 1710g (3.78lbs) for both the F80 and F100 versions, 1750g (3.87lbs) for the F120.
