Hardboiled shamuses, tough dames who know the score, even two-time losers looking for an edge are keen to know this noir. The TruVativ Noir MTB 3.3 Team crankset is black, light, tough, and damn sexy. A bunch of smart guys, real weisenheimers were in on the design, and they tossed drinks and shots and ideas and banged away on the CAD program. Not only is it the lightest crank TruVativ has produced, it’s also one of the lightest two-piece crank/bb combos in the industry.
The Truvativ Noir 3.3 Team crankset is designed to work in tandem with 9-speed cassettes. The crankarms have a hollow aluminum spine and are mated to unidirectional graphite casing. They come in 170 and 175mm sizes. The bolt circle diameter is 64/104mm. The included chainrings are 44/32/22, are made of 7075-T6 aluminum. The middle and outer rings are pinned. The chainring bolts are alloy and are mated to stainless nuts for durability. The bolt that joins the left crankarm to the GXP spindle is self-extracting. The crankset requires the use of the Giga X Pipe Team BB which is NOT included. The finish of the crankarms is natural carbon. The weight, without a bottom bracket, is 682g.
