The problem with too many chain guides is they have limited range of adjustment. The Syncros Carbon Chain Guide might have a problem of too much adjustment. The guide can be moved fore and aft, right and left, up and down easily. And the upper and lower guides are individually adjustable as well.

This device fits standard bottom bracket cups, external bottom bracket cups, and the International Chain Guide (ISCG) mounting systems, all without adapters. It is designed for all this movement and adaptability. For cyclists, this is a great thing. As retailers, we lose the opportunity to sell a fresh chain guide each time you change cranks, bottom bracket, bash guard, chain ring, and frame.

This is also another example of pro freeriders pushing limits for the good of the world. Syncros sponsors both the NSMB and Rocky Mountain Freeride Teams, and these riders break stuff to give Syncros feedback it needs to make better products. This chain guide has been so pushed, tweaked, improved, tweaked again, and now it's available for all.

One of our favorite features of the Syncros Carbon Chain Guide we discovered at an innopportune moment -- we'd just slipped off a log ride, causing the lower roller to hit the log. With other chain guides, this would often mean pulling the drive side crank, rotating the guide back to position and tightening the bolts again. With the Syncros, the steel plate that connects the lower roller to the guide simply acts as a spring, flexing out of the way, rather than into the stay.

The Syncros Carbon Chain Guide has a tougher than dirt pressure-formed carbon back plate. The lower guide runs on an Enduro cartridge bearing for a long maintenance-free life. This guide wheel is toothed for silent operation. The chain guide doesn't come with a bash guard. Works with chain rings sized from 32-40 teeth. 225g.
